Hey Group, I got my new Pioneer Allroad today.

Yea its a very similar design to our R series MBB so it falls under our MBB patents

Hey Group, I got my new Pioneer Allroad today.

I guess I should answer some of these questions on here Delivery times are sometimes longer than expected for a lot of different reasons, some of which I don't want to discuss on a public forum, other reasons include random shipping delays of 2 or 3 weeks from overseas for the Allroads, or...

    New Optibike Pioneer Allroad Limited

Unfortunately not, the R8 motor is smaller diameter and mounts differently and it would take a lot of work and custom parts to fit a battery that size on the frame. Is it possible? Probably, but its not something we do or plan on doing.

    33 lb Carbon Opti

@Bike_On pretty much nailed it with the differences of the Optibike MBB vs. the competition. Here's a few pictures of the old style Carbon bike with the smaller battery and a specs sheet for the new one. Its amazing how light this bike is, you can pick it up and carry it around like a normal...

    33 lb Carbon Opti

We have patents on the MBB design, but unless we actually go out and do something about it, which we haven't, yet, there is nothing stopping other companies from selling them in the US. Being a small company like Optibike is, we just don't have a lot of time and resources to spend on things like...

    33 lb Carbon Opti

Almost the entire motor/ gearbox is based on Optibikes designs and falls under the patents we have for our SIMBB and R series MBB

    33 lb Carbon Opti

We do sort of have exclusive distribution of all the Pioneer bikes in the US, as the Pioneer MBB uses a lot of our designs and patents. The reason we are selling these Carbon bikes is because we think they are great bikes, they are pretty unique being 33lbs with a mid drive, and we do a lot of...

    Issue with my Pioneer Allroad

If the chain rings are wobbling or rocking back and forth it could be the large spider nut has come loose, to check that you will need to remove the right crank arm which requires a crank arm remover, and a BBT-22 bottom bracket tool for the spider nut, but any bike shop should have those if you...

    Issue with my Pioneer Allroad

How much movement side to side does the axle have? I honestly couldn't say what the problem is without taking the motor apart and looking at it. If the side to side movement is minimal and there is no up and down movement, I would say its not a huge issue yet, but keep an eye on it in case...

Upgrade my Pioneer Allroad for harder trail use, or sell for Haibike?

I would say upgrade your Allroad, I wouldn't worry about the frame durability at all ether, if anything I would say the frame is somewhat overbuilt being an E-bike, and just getting it to flex is a challenge compared to a lightweight mountain bike. You can put any chainrings on it that are the...

Hey Greg, the Pioneers are (finally) done and will be shipped from overseas this week, they should be here in a week or so hopefully, then we just need to assemble yours and ship it out. Since yours will unfortunately be a few weeks late we can offer you a lightly used demo Allroad that we...
