Unfortunately not, the R8 motor is smaller diameter and mounts differently and it would take a lot of work and custom parts to fit a battery that size on the frame. Is it possible? Probably, but its not something we do or plan on doing.

How much movement side to side does the axle have? I honestly couldn't say what the problem is without taking the motor apart and looking at it. If the side to side movement is minimal and there is no up and down movement, I would say its not a huge issue yet, but keep an eye on it in case...
