    Hub motor parasitic drag

I ride my ebike without the battery all the time, it works great like my other regular MTB. If you are not able to test drive it, focus attention to ebikes that look like a regular bike to start.

Can An EBike Travel On A Bike Rack In The Rain?

I believe Biktrix can and does provide value added services to their local hometown clients like any LBS. The problem is when they mail order for more monies to buyers that are unlikely to ever bother them in-person.

    Harris Cyclery closes

Agreed. For me, purchasing less than $100 of bike stuff at any given time is impossible and a never :D

    Converting to Electronic Shifting

Quality ebikes and quality ebike experiences are "expensive".

Need to remove wheel to change brake pads?

I never said adjusting calipers CAUSES frame deformation.

Need to remove wheel to change brake pads?

Yes that is obvious with all disc calipers. Calipers are not supposed to be "distrubed" after they are installed, albiet only required due to acute frame deformation from long service.

    Satiator not charging at night

The Satiator only starts auto-charging on the default profile when it's able to detect a certain amount of voltage from a plugged-in battery. Anything lower than its threshold and it's designed to stop, as it believes there is no battery, or it has been unplugged. You either have an open...

Need to remove wheel to change brake pads?

Can someone recommend a (mechanical) brake disc caliper where the pads can be swapped out from top, without removal of the wheel? Most calipers need the wheel removed so the pads can drop out below. This is less trivial for wheels with a hub motor, with many wires to disturb.

Multiple chargers on one power point.

You will want one Grin Satiator for each battery you have to charge at a blazing 8A. Most stock chargers that come with ebikes are under 4A. I've done it for about an hour during a lunch and was able to get a battery from 1/6 bars back up to 4/6 bars. I only do this on the long road. When I...

"Significant Motor Resistance While Pedalling With Motor Off" Myth Busted: Physical Proof

Agreed. Folks just need to get "not crappy" ebikes.

    Which is the better lock?

My answer to "Which is the better lock?" is: I always have someone there holding the ebike and ready to scream rape to any unsolicited stranger that touches it. When my ebikes are home, they are secured in my house's attached garage with alarm and archived 4K cameras.

"Significant Motor Resistance While Pedalling With Motor Off" Myth Busted: Physical Proof

What's your point? I made it clear that the quality ebikes that I own don't have issues. Not entirely sure why you are assuming what I own or do not own.

NCM Moscow Bottom Bracket Bearing Failure

A rose is a rose is a rose. A bottom bracket is a bottom bracket is a bottom bracket. There is no conspiracy with a failed bottom bracket. It's as trivial to swap as an inner tube. Get it done, go enjoy your ebike.

Can An EBike Travel On A Bike Rack In The Rain?

Optinions are good. Here is mine: I do "consider that a low end bike".

"Significant Motor Resistance While Pedalling With Motor Off" Myth Busted: Physical Proof

If your ebike has "motor resistance" when off, buy another ebike that doesn't have it. I ride mines all the time without a battery.

Is it just me or is the RipCurrent S Seat So Uncomfortable? Can anyone please recommend a good seat, or seatpost if needed?

I'd rather pay $3K for an ebike with a seat I didn't like, instead of $3.1K for an ebike with a seat I didn't like. Seats are a very selective and personal thing. I have always replaced all my default seats with my favorite seats on all my regular bikes/ebikes.

I am finding it too hot to ride

When I was in AZ, i kept a wet towel on top of my head? Ya you do have to keep re-wetting it every 5 mins :D

Throttle or no throttle. That is the question

Has anyone failed to notice no 2nd followup post from the OP since they started this thread?

Throttle or no throttle. That is the question

Agreed. So I would prefer daily sunny walks on the beach, over crashing from an ebike accident requiring yet again two more new knees.

Throttle or no throttle. That is the question

In my honest opinion, if that were me, I would not be cycling at all, and be glad that I can simply walk. I believe artificial knees cost more than any ebike, so throttle 100% never-pedal ebike for you!
