Reason for price discrepancy between R&M and Gazelle

Yeah, no joke on the Gazelle site COULD be more informative. It's ok marketing-wise, but I've spent a bunch of time trying to find useful technical specs, some of which I believe I never found. Never knew the T-N nomenclature, could definitely be made more clear to customers/browsers. Good...

    E-bike Newbie

Congrats! There really are no 'perfect' bikes, and most of the list (no clue on your local builder/model mentioned) are from known quality companies and components. My wife's Gazelle is still going strong, and while there's always some question of 'maybe I should have <bought X> or <changed...

Shifter easy from 5th to 4th then gets real tough into 3rd, 2nd 1st

Unsure what this has to do with Biktrix (the brand forum this post is in), but you might have better luck posting in one of the maintenance sections like: Maintenance and Repairs and putting 'Sturmey Archer Hub' in the title so more people that can help will see what the question's about etc..

Holy love of God, that YouTuber is annoying just listening for 30 seconds..

Has anyone retrofitted an Eviolo Automatiq?

The linked article is pretty lightweight on overall info IMO (and at least one broken link to enviolo..) , but seems like Enviolo has at least started offering different levels of hubs, e.g. cargo, urban, extreme duty with different ratings. Seems like the 'base' hub is one of those, regardless...

Juggernaut Ultra DUO 3 in blue, arrived more purple, Biktrix made it right.

Yes, I see the color difference. Dragging it to a mostly-accurized (I have a coloromiter here somewhere) display, it's still blue, but has a very slight tint 'leaning' towards purple. I'd take that over the published god-awful color on their site in a minute, and would not open a dispute...

Juggernaut Ultra DUO 3 in blue, arrived more purple, Biktrix made it right.

Interesting - at least on my screen, the shipped bike frame showing is most definitely a dark metallic blue, not purple. I'd go further in that one of my long-standing gripes on China-painted/origin frames is their entirely awful choices of color, meaning the typical 'border on weird baby...

Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

Untrue, or certainly at least not even as a 'most' let alone 'all' statement. I can only think of 3 times I've ever touched my throttle on my X2: 1. After it was put together on day 1 just to ensure everything works. 2. On an overly muddy hilly trail that I'd stopped on after wife's bike went...

Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

Something like this might be a fit. Lots of other options depending on budget.. https://flx.bike/products/f5-trail A ‘bit’ more, possibly overkill but love mine: https://lunacycle.com/x2-enduro-ebike-1/

Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

With full suspension, front suspension only, don't care? For what type of riding. Luna, FLX, and others have various mid-drive torque-sensing bikes. None of the 'big brands' that do big business in the EU will have a throttle option as it's not allowed there in general. I'd take a look at...

Help! Can't get my wife to try ebike.

OP - what bike do you ride? Have you ever offered to swap for 'just a while,' including if, for example - YOU want to see what it's like to ride a 'normal' bike now? Preferably ask to do this - up a hill. I threw my wife into it on a trip to Europe, scheduled an ebike tour in Germany or...

Help! Can't get my wife to try ebike.

LOL - one of my first trips to NC/TN mountains was for a big car event (Deal's Gap/Tail of the Dragon ... ), so after a day of hot top-down zipping around the mountains, some of us went to go get some dinner...wound up finding an Italian place, we ordered some pizza and appetizers, then asked...

    Luna Z1 - First impressions

You'd have to check gets on the Z1/E22 vs the X2/E10, but at 6' and 32"inseam, the medium X2 is fine for me, although I replaced the dropper post with a quality and longer one immediately. I probably could have easily done the large, but it's not much of an issue in practice. I will eventually...

    M600 long-term reliability?

It would be interesting if we had more people contributing data with high mileage on specific motors. Yes, there is a newer 'M600 variant' coming out, like there was an updated M500 brought out 6months ago or so. I'm not sure on the specific differences. There are a pretty good # of M600...

    Juggernaught Ultra FS PRO

I would suggest still doing what @Gionnirocket mentioned - clean your rotors with iso alcohol. It doesn't take much contamination to ruin/glaze pads. It's also worth sorting which caliper/brake system you have, as you can look into other pad options in the future. Chances are high you can...

    Monte Capro Ultra

I don't see any issue with those bolts/hardware. Obviously threads mating up will remove coatings from screws/nuts/..., and the one on the left I believe tuns through the shock bushing. Not seeing any cause for concern here IMO. BTW, anodizing isn't paint (it's an electrical process)...
