    Radrover pas levels

It's a heavy bike just to pedal. I'm lucky here in the DC area because we have lots of trails. When my bike was stock I would pedal for miles on Eco (level 2) at 15 mph roughly and get exercise but still be able to move the bikes weight thanks to the motor.

question about the motors on the radrover

@vincent My 2015 is engraved with 750W on the motor

Does RAD's have a governor? Stock top speeds?

@Mark in CA I haven't had a way to weigh it yet. Maybe my LBS has a scale or something. I would be interesting to know how it's changed.

Does RAD's have a governor? Stock top speeds?

@Barkme Wolf Adding a "divide by two" circuit would take the input from the speed sensor and basically divide it by half so the output is half of what the sensor should receive. If you have any EE friends, they could possibly make you one. I think the speed sensor for the Radrover is based off...

Another reason for a second fat bike

I have one for sale. Smaller frame with most of the radrover parts (i.e. motor, controller, & battery).

question about the motors on the radrover

@thatdude902 Yes it does. I've never seen over 750W on mine. 744W maybe at most. Maybe older controllers pushed more Amps.

question about the motors on the radrover

@vincent Yeah, that was me, but I'm not the only one to have done so. I have hydraulic Shimano brakes going on the Radrover frame today that will work with the BBSHD setup. They seem pretty easy to install so I'm hoping it wont take too long. I'm hoping to get the new rigid Chromoloy fork I just...

question about the motors on the radrover

@J.P. I agree with you. Back when my bike was stock, the LCD never showed over 750W, but close to it.

    Battery Upgrade/Backup

@SpiderDice It was stock until I installed BBSHD and moved the old battery, motor, and controller to a Mongoose fat bike frame. I'm installing Shimano hydraulic brakes today on the Radrover.

Does RAD's have a governor? Stock top speeds?

Divide by 2 circuit for the speed sensor, change your top speed via LCD display, change tire size via LCD display, change rear cassette, lighten wieght, or just do what I did and install BBSHD haha (instant 40 mph, or 30 mph if geared low)

    At the Beach....Trouble

Hmm...I would have to say bad motor or controller. Check the fuse on the battery as well, just in case!

    At the Beach....Trouble

Check all your connections. Make sure that they are dry and securely connected. Codes will pop up because salt water is an excellent conductor of electricity or if you have an open line.

    2015 or 2016 radrover?

@vincent Are you close to D.C.? I have one I'm going to sell with all the Radrover parts (battery, controller, and motor) for $750 (Mongoose Malus which is lighter). And it has upgraded tires/tubes, but not suspension. It will just need a little TLC to get it the way you want.

    2015 or 2016 radrover?

It's a 2015. No mounts for a rear rack on the rear frame. See my avatar pic for clarification.

    Chain coming off

@Jeff185 I adjusted my rear derailer for the first time in my life last night after installing the new cassette. It is possible for someone with zero experience to do this. Just search "How to adjust Shimano rear derailer" on YouTube. Here is what I did step by step: 1. Elevate rear wheel from...

    Battery Upgrade/Backup

@cbmojo No issues. The controller is rated for 60V and that battery maxes out at 58.8V with a full charge. I've used it maybe 5 times from completely full to completely empty with no adverse affects. I would say that maybe the controller and motor were slightly warmer, but I do ride pretty hard...
