Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

@opimax Sorry I missed your heads up about last night's ride. I have the massive light you have on order from Amazon. It won't be here until the 17th though. I am charging my light and yours now as we speak. I did order a few goodies over the past few days. I have a phone mount that looks rugged...

Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

@woodsusa @opimax Haha. I've looked at that one before. It won't fit inside the Radrover triangle unfortunately. Besides, you can't go back to 48V once you've tired 52V. I guess that same could be said for 60V or 72V, but I don't want to go there. I've spent enough money this summer already lol!!!

Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

@opimax No worries. Entirely my fault for not remembering my range with the new motor installed. I was probably a little throttle happy anyway since I just got it back :-)

Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

@dm nelson I do want more range, but I'm limited by the amperage my motor's controller draws (30A).I don't want the cells getting too hot if I ran a long-range pack in my frame since that would shorten the life of the battery. The batteries with 13-14 Ah would work fine with the stock Radrover...

Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

@mrgold35 Took it out for a ride last night with @opimax. Managed to get 20 miles of range out of the 52V 11.6 Ah battery before it was drained. The last four miles were not fun on a 60 lb. ebike up a few hills (especially since I'm out of shape lol). It seems that I have the figures from the...

Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

@dm nelson Haha. Thanks for the compliments. It may eventually be up for sale, but that wont be for a year or two. It seems I always need a project to work on. Coming from the motorcycle world, ebikes are a new thing for me, but I have a thirst for more and more power. So I may never be...

2016 Radrover just stopped after 4 miles??

@vincent You are correct. Radrover controller is easy to exchange. 4 screws, a couple of cable ties, and unplug/replug.

Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

@mrgold35 The wheels are crazy light. I compared them with the stock ones before they were mounted. The new ones I can hold up with a pinky finger. Accelerates about the same, but these tires are 29" inflated just like the stock Kenda Juggernauts. My last set of tires were 26 x 2.5" Maxxis...

Radrover Beast finally finished! After all summer...

Hey guys. I know I've been MIA for a while. I just got my bike back last night after a prolonged stay at my LBS with fork and wheel issues. I took it in to install a direct bikes solid front fork and get some Origin8 Supercell tires mounted. Well, the tech got a little overzealous and cut the...

    Radrover speed wobble

It wasn't taller, but you should be able to flip your bars and riser around to get more height. I would play around with it until you get the fit that works for you. You may also be able to buy something in the aftermarket to facilitate that. The Radrover is a challenging bicycle to modify to...

    Radrover my RadROLLER!

@nat_disaster25 I found that out the hard way after purchase. I even checked the measurements when ordering. The stock Radrover bars change diameter throughout.

2016 Radrover just stopped after 4 miles??

@Commuter101 Remove the battery from the bike to see if it will turn on by itself. The blue light should illuminate on here. If it doesn't after being fully charged, RPB should send you a replacement. If they are MIA with this matter, then I would take the case apart if I were you to see if a...

@amd1 I did. I have yet to ride it yet. I will let you know how it performs once the weather clears up around here.

    Radmini-removing rear wheel

Take your time and use intuition. I would do it in this order: 1. Loosen axle nut bolts. 2. Unplug motor and cut cable ties holding down the wire. 3. Remove chain from sprockets. 4. Remove wheel from frame.

Replace the shitty fork. This is cheap and much better than the crappy Chinese OEM fork: http://lunacycle.com/sondors-upgrades/suspension-front-fat-bike-fork-for-sondors-and-other-fat-ebikes/

Poor After Sales Service - Rad Power

@dm nelson Dude, don't waste your time with a replacement. The stock derailer is CRAP! Mine broke less than 10 ft. from my door on the first ride (which wasn't a ride at all after that happened). Adjusting the stock one was a lost cause. I replaced mine with a stronger hanger and better derailer...

    Chain coming off

@sid5427 I would try this chain: https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Superlite-Bicycle-Missing-9-Speed/dp/B001F2WUG4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474486445&sr=8-1&keywords=KMC+heavy+duty+chain+116L#Ask You may have to remove some links to make it work with the 7-speed cassette. Buy a good chain breaker tool...
