    Slime

I've had great luck with Slime in my wheelbarrow tire, riding mower tires and utility cart tires. My wheelbarrow tire and utility cart tires would loose so much air pressure between uses that the tubeless tires would separate from the rim and seating the bead with a ratchet strap wrapped around...

Overwhelmed by choices. Looking for my first bike.

Just gonna drop this here for your consideration. My wife and I have a Vida E+ and a Momentum Transcend E+ and love both of them. https://www.momentum-biking.com/us

Like my Transcend E+ so much we bought a Vida E+ for spouse.

UPDATE - My wife and I are in our 60s and hadn't ridden our old bicycles in a very long time because we live a couple of miles from the city limits and there are lots of hills everywhere, even in our neighborhood. Two weeks ago we bought a Momentum Vida E+ (class-1, 60nm mid-drive with a...

Motor torque..how concerned am I? 80 vs 50 Nm on Giant bike. Same price.

My wife and I are in our 60s and hadn't ridden our old bicycles in a very long time because we live a couple of miles from the city limits and there are lots of hills everywhere, even in our neighborhood. Last summer I bought a Momentum Transend E+ (class-3, 60nm mid-drive with a 7-speed rear...

    Quad Lock Phone Mount?

I got the regular Universal QuadLock stem mount (with the optional black release collar, I prefer to have the mount blend in with my black stem). I used the supplied rubber 'O' rings and zip ties to attach it to the stem. I've probably put 50-miles on the bike with the stick-on universal phone...

    Best Urban ebike

@Marrduk24 I can't speak to the other bikes on your list, but I am really pleased with the Momentum Transend E+ I purchased last July. It's been 100% trouble free and it's quick, the assist feels really natural and even with the 375W battery it's got plenty of range for me to make 2 or 3 rides...

Like my Transcend E+ so much we bought a Vida E+ for spouse.

Thanks @Dewey! I'm really enjoying the Nexus/Syncdrive combo. Plenty of range for hills and hauling butt. My driveway is one of the steepest hills I encounter in our hilly town and climbing the driveway is easier than when I rode my Canondale M400 mountain bike in it's lowest gear. I've hit...

Like my Transcend E+ so much we bought a Vida E+ for spouse.

We rode a Specialized mountain bike, Momentum LaFree, Trek Townie, and a Giant mountain bike last summer at a couple of shops about an hour from our home. The Giant impressed me the most, I really liked how smoothly the motor assist was integrated into the bicycling experienced so I ordered a...

    2021 Momentum Transend E+

@Andyhallaway - I'm jealous of your 500w battery, my 2020 came with a 375w. It's plenty for the length of my rides, but more reserve would be better. I agree with your positive evaluation of the bike, I'm finding mine to be very versatile and it puts a smile on my face every time I ride it. I...

$2,500 for a Lightweight, Class 3 eBike With Manual Gear Shifting: Am I Dreaming?

@EMGX You make a few good points: battery on transcend is a little smaller and the motor is 10% less powerful. But Transend is Class 3, has wider tires, hydraulic brakes, internal hub (which many prefer) and the battery is better integrated into the frame and can be charged on the bike, or...

$2,500 for a Lightweight, Class 3 eBike With Manual Gear Shifting: Am I Dreaming?

Taking your time figuring out your priorities and then sticking to them is the best way to shop. Class 3 was important to me not because I need to go 28mph, but I often go faster than 18-20mph.

$2,500 for a Lightweight, Class 3 eBike With Manual Gear Shifting: Am I Dreaming?

@cryptacle Everyone starts their eBike search somewhere and as they learn more about eBikes, their priorities change. I started out searching for a Class 3 and although other priorities changed, the Class 3 remained and I'm glad. Today's ride is a perfect example of why I am glad to have Class...

Carrying photography gear on a ride

Lots of cleaver ideas for transporting camera gear. No doubt carrying gear in a backpack, fannypack or strapped to your chest isolates the gear from vibration. Personally, I prefer to have valuables in a handlebar bag where I can see that everything is ok (I have a habit of reaching or looking...

    2021 Liv Amiti E+ 2

Not sure about this Liv model, but I can affirm that my 2020 Momentum Transend E+ (Yamaha/Giant SyncDrive Life motor) is class 3.

Handlebar Jack - A new Ultra Portable Bicycle Repair Stand.

When I work on my bike at home I use a pair of 2x4 scraps. If I ever have to work on my bike in the field, I plan to loosen the 5mm allen head screws on my bar ends and rotate them so they keep the RideControl One from touching the ground.

Can Giant 6v-9w headlight circuit handle Nip & Tuck 6v-9.49w load?

@drewberz Thanks for the update. I went ahead and wired the headlight and taillight and even though everything seemed to be working perfectly I was planning to only use the headlight on 'pulse', 'low' or 'medium' settings. Good to know it's safe to use the 'high' setting as well.

    Wired-In Ebike Lights Guide

I got bored this afternoon so I mounted and wired the Light & Motion Tuck (aka Vis E-TL) to my Transend E+. I've never removed a mid-drive motor or worked with JST JWPF connectors before so I took my time and spent a bit over 4 hours on the project. A pair of 2x4 blocks kept the Ride Control...

    Wired-In Ebike Lights Guide

@mbouck makes a very good point! I added an inexpensive LED headlight to my Momentum (Giant sub-brand) transcend E+ bike this summer. The LED headlight only draws 2.4w @ 6v and the bike lighting circuit can handle up to 9w @ 6v. (Here's my writeup on the install ) The latest Giant firmware...
