where to buy O-rings for brake caliper?

Oh my goodness! I have a brake failure mode that is unknown to 3 people (including me) in a caliper of unknown construction, brand, and materials. Since only well-known brands can be any good, and my caliper has been proven to have those unknowns while having a problem, then I think it is...

where to buy O-rings for brake caliper?

RetiredNH, anybody with a keyboard can spew opinions, as you did, but it would better to come with data. I have asked questions that I was hoping would be answered, but mostly what I get is people guessing that my brakes are cheap and poorly built/designed with subpar materials. If my...

where to buy O-rings for brake caliper?

Rome, original post shows the size I need.

where to buy O-rings for brake caliper?

Don, thanks for the link! First glance, it looks like an incredible site. Rome, thanks for the tip, but I don't ride my brakes. I think that the rotor would glow red before enough heat would transfer to an O-ring, but I am only guessing. My rotor has never been too hot to touch, but maybe...

where to buy O-rings for brake caliper?

Are you saying that only ceramic pistons are able to deal with the heat? As far as I can tell, my calipers are copies of those made by other companies, which might suggest that other companies which don't use ceramic pistons can have overheating calipers. Have you heard of other calipers...

where to buy O-rings for brake caliper?

It is a no-name Chinese caliper, very similar to a Tektro but with a different O-ring size. How would a better caliper handle heat better? My caliper has a steel piston which bear upon the steel backing of the disc brake pad, so there will be heat transfer at that point of contact. I have...

where to buy O-rings for brake caliper?

After riding only 820 miles on my ebike, I heard and discovered metal-to-metal contact on the rear hydraulic disc brake pad-to-caliper. One of the pads was worn into a wedge shape, rather than being worn evenly from top to bottom. The piston on that side would not retract and I couldn't...

    Warning about Eunorau

El_Binco, please explain why you thought the FAT-HS would have a torque sensor. It is very clear now that the BBSHD motor doesn't have a torque sensor, but a buyer wouldn't necessarily know that. Why did you expect the torque sensor?

    Warning about Eunorau

I will contact my bank, but I expect little help. Since I have been challenged repeatedly here to provide evidence of false advertising, I wonder if there is anybody else out there who can provide more? I would appreciate it if you would post it here.

    Warning about Eunorau

A picture of the specification page is not going to be of any help??? What is wrong with you? Do you think I am making up this evidence? I took the pictures because I was afraid that the spec sheet would go away, and sure enough, it did. I don't understand your reluctance to accept my major...

    Warning about Eunorau

That was the specification page at the time that I ordered my FAT-HS. It probably doesn't exist anymore. I don't have a saved webpage or .pdf, but the pictures are proof from that time period. The order confirmation didn't say anything about specs. You cannot help me at this point. I am...

    Warning about Eunorau

O.K. Here is the rest of it. I had to take 2 pictures because the specification page was so long. I don't have it in any other form. Now do you believe me?

    Warning about Eunorau

Edit: actually the Eunorau people were good enough to post the original review earlier in this thread. At 2:20 the reviewer starts talking about the virtues of the torque sensing on the FAT-HS, which apparently was mistaken?

    Warning about Eunorau

The webpage that I copied and pasted from was specifically for the FAT_HS, but I will submit the picture below for further proof of my point. I took a picture of the specification page for the FAT-HS, and you can see (hopefully) at the bottom it shows the sensor type as "torque sensor". This...

    Warning about Eunorau

Thank you for your support, JakEmAll. My point in this thread was to point out that Eunorau has terms of service which supposedly made them able to post inaccurate claims on their website with impunity. Eunorau has even come into this thread and claimed that they never advertised the FAT-HS as...

    Warning about Eunorau

Well, that was actually helpful. Now I know that the original FAT-HS had a cadence sensor, which means that Brent made a mistake. Eunorau advertised the FAT-HS as having a torque sensor. You can look in this thread and see where I copied and pasted their ad. Eunorau immediately went in and...

    Warning about Eunorau

How do you know this? Have you had hands-on with the original ugly bike? Surely you don't question that it was advertised as having a torque sensor. I have proven that part. And the original review by EBR said that it had a torque sensor, and the reviewer raved about how natural the pedaling...

    Warning about Eunorau

Ha! As soon as I posted the link to your false advertising, you went in and changed the wording. Fortunately, I had copied and pasted to this forum the part of your ad where you claimed a torque sensor. You were a bit too late to make your change!

    Warning about Eunorau

Yes, somebody has already edited that ad since I posted the link earlier today. At least you can still see the part that I copied and pasted for you to see, the part where a torque sensor is claimed. I also have screen shots and pictures of their older ad.

    Warning about Eunorau

Sure, now you have a correct review. You also have a correct ad now, but your old review and ad were all that was available when I ordered my FAT-HS in December of 2020. And are you saying that the original version of the FAT-HS (with the ugly green/yellow/brown frame) never had a torque...
