    I got my Hydra!!

My size small framed Hydra, with the Kindernay hub, weighed 66 pounds, which was the exact same weight as my UC Pro, with carbon wheels.

    WW Still In Business?

I wonder how many people who placed a deposit will be left 'holding the bag'. Their website is still up.

Re-greasing the Ultra motor...is it time?

Glad to hear you finally got your Hydra. 👍 Last year, when I re-greased my UC Pro's motor, I also re-greased my Hydra's motor. While my UC Pro's motor has almost no grease my Hydra's motor had lots of grease (red coloured). Does your Hydra have a regular derailleur setup? Too bad about WW's...

Re-greasing the Ultra motor...is it time?

I wish Pushkar had designed the UC Pro frame with a half an inch more motor clearance. It would have made a world of difference when installing the motor. Side note: I recently came across a Chinese company (Waltly) that makes a custom titanium frame that is very similar to the WW's UC Pro frame.

Re-greasing the Ultra motor...is it time?

It looks like you've got more room between the top of the motor and the frame, compared to my UC Pro. 👍

    Road weenie karma

I have BCAA coverage for my car and they added emergency road service for bikes a couple of years ago. They must not get many calls from stranded bike riders, because they sent a tow truck to pick me up. The tow truck driver, who had never carried a bike before, wondered if the bike could be...

    Road weenie karma

While on a long ride far from home I had my chain break. While waiting for BCAA (an automobile service I'm a member of that also has a bike service) two riders on regular bikes, or to use your term "road weenies" stopped to offer assistance. One rider even offered to ride back to his house and...

Anyone just do a basic ebike conversion

I'm waiting for Boost (a UK company) to start producing their through axle rear hub model (they presently only have a drop axle hub setup) and to start shipping to other countries. I really like its simplicity-small hub motor, water bottle styled battery, and only one wire (from the hub motor to...

Do You Wear a Wristwatch When You Ride?

I wore a watch every day until I retired. Then, I stopped If I wanted to know what time it was I looked at my smartphone. Last year I purchased an Apple 8 watch, which I wear on all of my rides.

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

I also ordered a 3mm chainring spacer which should be arriving soon. As I mentioned in a previous post, my goal is to reduce the cross chaining as much as possible at my cruising speed, which is around 20mph. https://bbgbashguard.com/shop/ols/products/130-bcd-spacer-ring Opimax, what chain are...

    My new 56t chainring arrived today and it's massive. Here's a size comparison (42t, 48t & 56t)

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

Around 80 rpm is my usually cadence for the UC Pro. On most bikes a smaller chainring would be fine, but the chain cross in the smallest cogs (11 & 13) is horrendous, so I'm trying to get my cruising speed (20mph) with the chain sitting in the 4th or 5th rear cog. To do this I have to move to...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

In my continuing journey towards ending up with a relatively straight chain line (which with this bike is a REAL challenge) I've installed a fat bike spider and larger chain ring (44t to 48t). My next step is to move up to a 56t ring and add a 3mm spacer ring between the spider and the chain...

    Tubeless tire experiences

I just ordered some Flat Out from Amazon. I'll put it in the three bikes that my wife and I ride that have tubes and I'll continue on going tubeless with my other two bikes.

    Good Stuff You Bought

I recently bought one too. I bought the middle sized model. Speaking of noise, I was showing my new pump to my senior's cycling group, while we were sitting around a table at one of our coffee stop locations, and someone asked me to turn it on, so I did. Made the people sitting close to me...

    Tubeless tire experiences

With Flat out is it more common to use it with tubes, or to go tubeless? Just thinking about my e-mountain bike. It's set up with tubes and I don't want to go through the hassle of switching over to a tubeless setup (and I'm not even sure if the rims are tubeless compatible).
