Thanks Kez. I'm sure you'll love your new bike when you get it! I loved my old USPD, but I'm very excited about this new Dash!!!

Does the Dash have Presta valves? That actually surprises me. I would have expected Schrader. Can anyone confirm?

All old Currie USPD components removed from the Trek bike. Rode 11.3 miles to continue getting my legs back in shape. Front derailleur cable frayed down to one strand on the ride, and I lost use of the large front sprocket. Now I need to find a new cable, but I really enjoyed the ride! BTW...

As someone who had a motorcycle "off" on the freeway (at 70 mph after getting hit by a minivan), I can attest that it is far from pleasant. :( On topic, I should have my new Dash by next weekend! :D

You are too smart James! I'm not one who feels enjoyment spending money, but I NEED the exercise, and I quit smoking 1.5 years ago (I now "vape"), but my lungs are soooo much better. I KNOW I will be getting the exercise I need now! :D

And Ravi, although my thanks to you are sincere, my checkbook is quite angry. ;)

With a heavy heart (for my checkbook), I sadly report that resurrection of the old USPD has failed. It isn't worth messing with. I had hoped it would work as it used to, but alas, it is not to be. James, do you know what that means? ;)

Well, the charger flashed red on re-attachment (I wanted to make sure it was fully charged), and some old information on the interwebby suggested the charger may have been transitioning from charge, to trickle. Based on that, I put the pack on the bike, and low and behold, the motor actually...

Good luck, and many wishes for a trouble free repair, and thousands of trouble free miles. Keep us updated!!!

Batteries arrived!!! Installation in the case was easy, and I got the red light on power up (not on the bike yet). New seat installed, and dead rear light blinkie also. Charging the pack within sight in case of a problem, and hopefully a test ride tomorrow. :) This MAC motor was well...

    Outfitting the Dash E3 (minimum)

I wonder why the battery shipped separately??? And I wonder why it got sent back??? On topic, nice customization set! :)

    Outfitting the Dash E3 (minimum)

It didn't come with a battery? Do they have to ship it separately because it's lithium?

For anyone interested in following the ancient eBike re-boot, the batteries are supposed to arrive tomorrow. The vendor was Battery Supersite through Amazon, so I can't recommend them as a vendor for anything. :( I will try and get the bike going sometime this weekend, and will report back...

Caution: Dash BB cups may be loose

I'm left wondering if all Dash units at the warehouse were unboxed, and the correct torque applied before they went out to dealers. So that the problem does not happen with any new bikes being shipped as of, say last week? Inquiring minds would like to know! ;)

Rave, I have heard good things about the Zero eMotorcycle, but that's about all I know. Sorry I can't help further. I can say that I love my current motorcycle! It's a 2007 Yamaha FJR, and I do 250+ mile days with no problems.

As I sit here kinda mad about my SLA batteries not being here for my ancient ebike, I thought maybe I should disclose something to the community here.... I am an avid motorcyclist. I know, I know, burning liquid dinosaurs, is bad.... I'm am only disclosing this shameful fact to accentuate...

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

It sucks, and I (and I'm sure others) feel your pain. It sounds like Currie is going to stand behind their product, and do the best they can to make it right. If so, then they are doing the right thing! I had a catastrophic failure in a new car (slipped timing belt, and it ate a valve). The...

So the usps doesn't know where my SLA batteries are. It's been 10 days. The supplier promises to ship replacements priority if the usps can't find them. Maybe it's fate? ;)
