yes, it's pretty expensive. I set up our tandem with motorcycle leds and tried to use a standard usb battery pack with a 12v converter. I finally just broke down and bought a 12 battery pack. that was about 100.00 with the battery. this guy has 360 degree leds though so that's good.

I found Eddi Bowers has some great fleece-lined pants that are waterproof. they worked when it got in the 20's for me with nothing else. They were not the best work pants though. I got some keen waterproof insulated boots that work well and I cna put heavy socks on with them.

Ok, I see what I missed if the bike is shutting down when riding and it is not charging it sounds like a bad connection. or the kiox is the issue. sometimes the mounts get sloppy and I have had to replace them if the kiox wiggles around much that could be it.

I have had that with my nyon too. taking it off and then putting it back on usually fixes it. that's why I had to give up screwing it down. I think you can have it display its battery level like the Nyon. like when I remove the battery it shows the Nyon battery level.

yes for me that's the only way that worked and if you can't remove the thing that flat you a flat sealant won't work.

The tape does not last on the spokes. it's a good place for it but it just does not work or I should say hold up. I even tried wrapping it around the spokes on the rims is fine but they can get dirty. there are no good wheel lights anymore.

unless the rotors are worn out, you can sand them, and that will remove any contamination. though sometimes they can be overheated, and that will mess them up. but that happens on long downhills and hard breaking on on our heavy tandem. should be able to have someone swap pads and sand the rotor...

Just the rim and spokes maybe 150.00 or less for a shop to rebuild the wheel. I would not upgrade as you won't get the money from it.
