Hiplok D1000 - Cutoff Wheel Resistant Lock

It’s also for an ebike. I throw it in the panniers. Either way, it only weighs 4 lbs. I’m not leaving it locked over night and I won’t be far from it. I just don’t want to feel the need to stare at it.

[UN-RESOLVED, Again!] Specialized "Rider - I Don't Care" Support is non-existent, what is YOUR experience? (poll) (NEW SYSTEM IN PLACE 4-21-22)

This is the first year of a new model design and battery capacity. My guess is they won’t sell extra until more bikes are out due to the global supply chain shortages. They’d rather sell a bike than a battery. Be patient.

Hiplok D1000 - Cutoff Wheel Resistant Lock

They’re starting to ship Kickstarter orders. I get mine in June. Hopefully full market later in the summer if that’s the case?

[UN-RESOLVED, Again!] Specialized "Rider - I Don't Care" Support is non-existent, what is YOUR experience? (poll) (NEW SYSTEM IN PLACE 4-21-22)

I’ve seen YouTube videos of them being spliced into the 12V in the motor housing. Doesn’t seem that bad. But more work than I need right now and with little benefit for how I ride. I did test drive R&M bikes that come standard with it and it was nice. I’ll start at whatever I can max out in the...

Brought a new Vado 5.0 home today!

Never had those errors on mine. Some random small stuff that the remote reset the first day. But nothing really after. If you don’t want to risk issues with new tech, go for the chain drive. But I’m really enjoying the IGH so far.

[UN-RESOLVED, Again!] Specialized "Rider - I Don't Care" Support is non-existent, what is YOUR experience? (poll) (NEW SYSTEM IN PLACE 4-21-22)

Wait. Your free light was an M99? I’m jealous now. I’ve debated going that way on the Vado I just got but at the moment I don’t night ride enough to justify the spend but that light is amazing.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I have the Specialized roll cage so I can choose which way to load my bottle. It’s about 4” from frame to top of cage. The mid step only has about 3-3.5” of clearance without getting precise. The top tube is where I think they intend that to go. But my wife just packs hers because she uses that...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I’ll check my wife’s but I don’t think there is enough room there for a bottle. Just things like a pump or folding lock.

Alarm working? (Turbo Vado 4 2022)

Have you tried taking your phone in the house and shutting off Bluetooth? If it picks up your phone close by it probably knows it’s you.

Vado 5 IGH problems on steep hill

I think I can help. My wife is 5’2”- 5’3”and the small is perfect for her. We have the seatpost about 4” from bottoming out to allow for our recumbent trailer for our child (you can see the picture in the thread I posted). She thinks she’d like it about a hair shorter but couldn’t fit the...

2022 Vado IGH - No Thread?

There is only 1 motor choice for each Vado so the new 5.0 is the 2.2 with 90nm. It would be closer (as a class 3) to the Bosch performance line plus at 85 nm I believe. I’ve tested some Vario R&M bikes and to me it felt very similar. When we get another warm spell I’ll measure some hill inclines...

Hub and Belt system on Specialized Turbo Vado 5.0 your impressions? Says in 2022 on web site

Vado 3 or 5 IGH. I have a 5 I just got for commuting this summer. It has the automatic shift. If you opt for the 3, you get the manual twist shift instead. Some other differences as well, but it is also a fair bit cheaper.

Considering upgrading my Allant+ 8s to a Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH

I have the Vado. Did my first decent ride on it yesterday (about 16 miles). So far, good power and battery life. I’m enjoying the enviolo. Coming from a Roll (which is basically the non-electric Como) I like the new Vado position better. It’s not as upright but it’s also not too aggressive. I...

Abus 5750 Frame Lock / Turbo Como frustration

I have seen people use zip ties to the stays as opposed to the Abus kit worth more success. Not quite as elegant. A skilled shop could also drill into the frame and make traditional mounts for it. That’s what Court’s friend in DC did with his Como from what sounds like the same generation as yours.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Yes. That is correct. I have the Burley trailer and use a M10 nutted adapter for that. Looking at your link, it looks very similar to what Thule uses for theirs.
