Night Rover ride with Lumos helmet

To be clear I was not saying that it was stupid to buy one, to each his own obviously. I can only give my opinion and that and $5 will buy you a Starbucks. i:)i (For the record I rarely ever buy Starbucks) I am not putting a price on safety at all. If it makes you feel safer go for it. Put...

Night Rover ride with Lumos helmet

I don't ride at night but still got this light. Just in case I ever do I guess. Has the break light option as well as turn signals. I use the lights anyway even during the day at times. It is cheap enough that it is good to have even as a steady blinking light...

This throttle would be cool on the Rover.

Just FYI thought, a voltage readout will "usually" fluctuate under load just like the bars on the stock display do. So don't expect a nice steady readout you can go by to know exactly how much is left in the battery. Of course that could be reading it differently and that is all moot. I agree...

    non-zero, powered-off battery voltage???

I guess my question would be why does it bother you so much? You planning on connecting it to something while off the bike? Was it ever stated that this button completely cuts ALL power and it is not functioning as stated? I believe the main power button turns off power to the USB ports...

    Let's talk Lights..

That is a really cool looking light! I don't ride at night usually but wanted a nice rear light anyway. I like a flashing light in the rear even during the day. Also nice to just have one on there in case I ever did ride at night. Anyway just in case it helps anyone, I use this one...

    non-zero, powered-off battery voltage???

The front light runs at 48v. If you want to run a light off of the main power you will need a 48V light or reduce the voltage down to 12v using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0151BF6DI Of course you can use other reducers at other voltages.

Broke 5000 miles on my Radwagon in just over 1 year

Did I read that right? You take the bike up to the server room in the morning but take the bike down fire escape stairs when you leave? I guess that is one flight. I was picturing lots of stairs in my head when I first read that. i:)i

Best way to carry two Radrovers?

Just for another option. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a rack but wanted a decent one. I researched a lot and decided on the Saris Freedom 2 Rack. I think it is the absolute best rack for the money. You can see it on my Avatar photo. I got it for $216 off of Amazon (lists $250 now...

This is my next seat. i:)i (Sorry image link not working....) https://www.amazon.com/Authentic-Fito-Oversize-Bicycle-Backrest/dp/B01GW7AM1Q/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1499885657&sr=8-9&keywords=bike+seat+with+back

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

I would suggest that if you get the stock fenders, get the full sized ones if you will actually ride in the rain/expect them to work. I got the half fenders and think they look really cool but from everything I read/watched they are sh^% to actually be used as fenders. i:)i Several youtube...

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

Sorry to hear that. Still once you can ride it will be worth the wait. Also remember that it takes about a week (depending on where you live) for it to ship to you anyway. So if you think you can ride in a month order it in three weeks. I would also consider that they could run out of them...

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

I hate people that say you don't get exercise on an E-bike. Some called them "cheaters." Like anything it is what you want to do with it. Hell motorcycles are cheating more than an EBike but guys love those. i:)i Hell you can get MORE exercise on an EBike. Set it to PS (Power Assist mode) 1 (or...

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

I can only tell you what my experiences are. I am 6'3" and about 240Lbs. Riding on a flat surface is about the same as any other bike. It has a nice low gear on it. I can ride it on level with no battery assist easily but once you get a slight hill it does indeed get slightly harder than a...

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

I got a cloud9 seat on your recommendation MRGold. Not the exact one you mentioned before but it is nice. It was 10.5"x 10.5" one and I thought any bigger may be too much. I can always buy another later. If I have any complaint it would be I wish the seat could be further back a bit. I also...

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

Good advice. You are right about the fenders, they can move easily. I am sure they add to the noise. I need to pay more attention the next time I go out. As I said it is only in one small area where I encounter that type of surface. It is also no biggie. You were able to go 47 miles on one...

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

I kind of expected it to make noise. I was sort of being sarcastic. i:)i Hell I carry the tool bag that came with it in the bag on the back so that alone rattles. It does seem to take those small patched spot rather hard though but that is okay. I LOVE the bike so much. No idea how it will...

A Video Celebrating The First 28 Days of My RadRover

Congrats man. I also got mine a month ago. Due to time and weather I only got to take it out twice to the park and only have about 30 miles on it. I have no pics or video really aside from my avatar. So you took it into the woods? I want to do that next but am unsure how it will take the bumps...

That pesky battery rubber charge port cover.

<3D printer jargon ahead> The problem is you can't print this is ABS or PLA/PETG. It requires the nylon bridge filament (or similar) to be strong enough since it is so thin and small. With the other materials the plug part just breaks away from the back and so does the tail. </3D printer jargon...

That pesky battery rubber charge port cover.

That is great advice. If it allows you to use the original cover that is even better. I may give that a try myself if I get some. My only issue with this is I hate having grease all over my stuff and hands. So it better take a very very small amount to work. Also grease attracts dirt and dust...
