Nice Feature on a Hub Drive

Wow. 8AWG is pretty thick. That’s some high current. I was reading somewhere about insulation. There can be many varieties of silicone. I’m sure you already know, don’t get cheap wire. That wire may have insulation not rated for the heat the gauge wire can handle.

    Which is better?

For that, you’ll want folding handlebars as well. https://www.amazon.com/UPANBIKE-Folding-Handlebar-Aluminum-Foldable/dp/B07G45XGTS If I had to choose, I’d choose the pop off pedals.

    I did the unthinkable.....

Changing the seat may save your bits. Have you looked in to different saddles?

    noob needs some controller help

The diy maintenance area would be better suited for this topic. Maybe a mod can move it? You’ll get more responses. :) How have you tried to engage the motor? Throttle or pas? Holding down will induce the walk feature. Have you tried all 3 methods?

Front page LA Times today regarding Ebikes

Well, I guess they could’ve used regular bikes as a getaway car.

Front page LA Times today regarding Ebikes

Wow. Kids are making e-bikes look even worse now. Truly sad.

looking for a twist throttle for my level 2 ..

Y’all are heading to the dungeon. The OP specifically asked about the Level2 and no other bike. I’ll join you. This is my Ride1up 700 with a half twist throttle in the right. There is maybe a few mm of clearance, but the paddles clear the throttle. The bike came with a left side thumb...

How to Switch to Clipless Pedals

These are great. I have them too. I bike in my boots and these are very comfortable. They are both longer and wider than my s*it wellers.

Burned a phase wire in two in the rain

You may not have to replace the phase wire. If you have a bad connection, there will be lots of heat created there. Especially if that connector is not rated for the proper current. What would be the rating for those flag terminals? Could be a weak crimp or the connectors did mate together well...

    changer de moteur roue

I think it would work. It wouldn’t hurt anything to try. It’ll either work, or not. I would try it. Before you go through all the effort to put the motor on the bike, set the motor near the bike and plug it in. Be sure the motor can spin freely, without impairment. Power on the bike and GENTLY...

I think this could answer those questions. I can not. Grab your Vado and coffee. :)

Nice Feature on a Hub Drive

The BaseRunner can be set to stop accepting regen at a particular voltage level. In the phaserunner suite, you can set the voltage level that regen kicks in and the level in which regen voltage stops flowing to the battery. This will avoid over-charging the battery. I’ll be adding a temp...

I need to find a replacement controller for my ancheer e-bike

+1 for this. I hate battling through “support agents” over the phone. You’ll most likely end up where you started.

Nice Feature on a Hub Drive

Glad to hear more about how that works. I’ve got a Baserunner and CA3 on the way. I’m excited to check out all the features, except regen. I don’t have a DD. It’s also nice to have that watt of power for the motor to always be engaged and using the throttle won’t startle the motor.

New bike - Turris, a semi off-road touring aka trekking bike - replacement for 500 series?

It’s actually opposite of that. After the fork is installed, the front tire is secured in the fork before the caliper is mounted. This should be the only assembly video you should refer to. :)

    Unexpected motor shutdowns

This is a very interesting fact. Riding around in the highest assist level will bring you to low voltage much sooner than say level 2 or 3. Thanks for your input. :)

    Unexpected motor shutdowns

You mention that you always ride around in PAS 6. As a test, what happens if you ride around in PAS 3, or 4? Does the motor still cut out? I was thinking this might be heat related, but the fact that the bike worked for 4 months, after a controller replacement, tells me that may not be the...

    Unexpected motor shutdowns

I’m not familiar with that bike but, on most displays, there are icons to indicate faults. If there are no faults listed (usually a letter and a number, ex, E30). Perhaps it is the normal operation of the brake sensor being induced unwillingly. A faulty brake sensor will cut out the motor. When...
