That is a heck of bike collection. But I am afraid in the near future they will pass a law you have to have a drivers licesens for bikes. For now there fun and get excise also.

wondering what type of homemade electric bike you built? And the cost. People paying 5 to $10,000 on a bicycle just hurts my brain thinking about it. I myself have blinkers brake lights parking light headlight side baskets and speedomeator. 750 W rear wheel hub and a 20 amp hour 48 volt li-po...

Home built and no class stickers¿

Reading up on a lot of the laws that are now required in 2017 and newer buy Factory it has to state whether it's a Class 1 2 or 3. However I cannot find anything on the law stating that you have to have any information on the bicycle if you build the ebike yourself. Now as I have said many times...

Q: If I restrict my Class 3 to 20mph is it now a Class 1?

Not 100% sure what you are saying, I am still new to this. But the bike is 750w but can be switched to a 1000w system, @750 it will run 18 to 20, but I'm hoping this is enough to get me the the big hills out here. If not I will have to switch back to 1000w. But like I said I mostly run about...

Q: If I restrict my Class 3 to 20mph is it now a Class 1?

My whole thing is is I built my bike the law states that you have to have a sticker that explains the class miles per hour and all of that if you purchase it. But so they don't screw with me is why I was wanting to have them put on mine even though it's home built

    While law enforcement

All good points except for I would come to a complete stop at a stop sign not slow down for one. Bicycles are to follow the same law as a motor vehicle therefore you have to come to a complete stop if a cop sees you you will get a ticket for that. I also ride at 15mph the bike will do 33.2 but I...

New to ebike world- ego 3400w

Crazy cool set up! I built mine with a 26" MTB it will hit 53kmh on motor alone but it is a 1000w hub motor...but to be legal in the state it cannot be rated higher than 750 watts. So mine is 750 watts cough cough. Enjoy the ride, nice looking bike.
