    New Reflexes...

I also am exhilarated by my radmini. Took it to the grocery for the first time today. Folded it and locked it to a bike rack while I shopped. Had to go around a huge hill but still had hills to go up and down. About a 10 mile ride in total. In traffic with pedestrians, I'm only comfortable...

    New Reflexes...

I suppose it is a personal preference issue, but a cadence sensor ought not be an on-off switch IMHO; but that's what the controller does on the radmini. When the magnetic switch gets activated, power is applied to the hub motor based on PAS level selected and doesn't matter how fast or slow...

    New Reflexes...

I'm not sure it is lousy programming alone so much as cheap decisions on hardware. On my radmini there are only 6 button magnets to activate the magnetic switch that activates the assist. The difference in gauss in button magnets can be large (and it is also possible to put them in upside down...

    New Reflexes...

Current radmini PAS levels are slightly different on my bike. PAS 1 is less than 50 since display never shows anything, PAS 2 I've seen 175; then there is a big jump PAS 3 is 400+, 4 to 550+ and 5 to 750--at least that's what I'm seeing, I don't know how precisely the firmware is programmed nor...

    New Reflexes...

OK, been riding around town now that rain is temporarily abated. Radmini is handling everything I throw at it doing well on hills and in the flat. Went 10 miles today (I know, not a lot but I'm still learning--used up 2 bars on the battery in the ride). The only trouble I had was in close...

    Radrover Power Meter

Not positive, but pretty sure the stock battery "level" indicator is just a voltmeter. SO, as demand (headwind, grade, throttle...) increases, the voltage will drop (so display shows 1-2 bars)...but, the controller will compensate to keep wattage up based on throttle or PAS level--it does this...

    Home made rad rover fenders

Good job. Innovative and cheap. If one doesn't have access to license plates, you can get the same acrylic sheets in any color you want at Tap Plastics--they'll even cut them to size for you.

    RadMini bike bag

I checked amazon, eBay and Overstock...no Koki Rovers so you probably can't find them again. I also tried Bikase grocery pannier but it didn't fit. I ended up making one from a horse saddlebag since I knew I could shorten the straps easily enough with a couple lines of stitching--even made an...

    Radmini pannier

I got a black nylon saddlebag through eBay that is for a horse. There were a LOT of panniers for bicycles, but after I found out that the bikase pannier wouldn't fit, it became obvious that many universals won't fit our bike. I got the horse pannier knowing I'd have to shorten the top straps...

    PAS on hills

Well, I don't think the controller on the Radmini works in quite the same way. In PAS level 0-obviously, no watts. In PAS 1, there is no wattage displayed, but it is helping a tiny bit as compared with zero. In level 2 it goes to about 175. PAS3 gets you to 500+ and the amount of assist...

    Radmini pannier

Well, the bikase pannier doesn't fit; hooks are too small to go over the rear rack tubes. SO, I'm looking for a grocery pannier. Anyone with a radmini want to share what works for them? I did get a nice grocery/backpack bag...

    Radmini motor specs

I've been unable to find information about our motor on the Radmini--or the controller for that matter. Maybe someone else has had better luck...here's the info listed on the outside of the motor BAFANG BF RMC06 48v 750W(9) 20-1605050642-1 What I'm interested in knowing: How many amps are the...

    Radmini rearview mirror?

I finally decided to get a Zefal Spy Easy Mount mirror. Mounts with no tools, it is easily adjusted and does the job. Small and unobtrusive. https://www.amazon.com/Zefal-95293-Spy-Bicycle-Mirror/dp/B000FY05PG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1484074480&sr=8-3&keywords=zefal+easy+mount

    Radmini rearview mirror?

I'm looking at Amazon and they have a plethora of mirrors. Some fit inside the handlebar (don't want those, I'd have to ruin the cool grips on the Radmini). Care to share where you got yours and what brand? I assume you put it on the left side next to the mode switch?

    Radmini rearview mirror?

Any radmini owners have a rearview mirror? Where did you mount it and are you satisfied with it?

    PAS on hills

In email exchanges with Radbike during assembly and initial riding and in reading the owners manual, we are instructed to climb hills in low gear (OK, that's how you climb hills in a normal pedal bike)...but we are told to keep the PAS level low so human power predominates in the ascent. That...

    Hot Rodded Rad

S'OK, not really hijacked as I was looking for owners who have done what you've done--replaced factory battery or controller or both like you did...and I understand, this thread will get a lot of folks interested in buying your hot rods. I'd be worried about the nylon gears in the hub motor...

    Hot Rodded Rad

Walawn, If I read the specs right the BBSHD and that 52v battery gives you a 1500 watt+ configuration or double the factory power. Did you also install the recommended temp probe, and if so, how hot do the windings get? More mundane, how hot is that hot rod.

    Hot Rodded Rad

Has anyone replaced their controller/battery to hot rod their Radbike?

    Motor Speed Limit on Radmini?

This brings and interesting question to mind...Does the controller control RPM maximum using selected wheel diameter? If so, then fooling it by setting wheel diameter to 18 should allow you to actually get 25 mph out of the bike even though the display will tell you only 20. Truth to tell, I...
