@Stefan Mikes, you are the king. You've just saved me a lot of pointless stumbling around lol

VAdo or Como Suspension Seat post and Handlebar Stem

Yep. And this is something I plan on finding a workaround for. I ordered a Cirrus Cycles Kinekt suspension stem, and will be determining a way to mount the Vado's factory light to the new stem. Mostly likely it will involve zip ties and a little creative home surgery. I'll report back on my...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Been loving my Vado SL 4.0 so far. Had it for three weeks now, and I've been upgrading it bit by bit. Just got a Kinekt 2.1 suspension seat post on it. Next up will be a Brooks Cambium saddle, a Kinekt suspension stem, and some Ergon GP-4 L grips. After that, who knows. The bike is as @Stefan...

BodyFloat / Specialized Turbo X - Seat Post Drilling for rear light wire

So I decided to solve the problem like an unsophisticated gorilla and just yank on the cables. Turns out they're little skinny interfaces, probably to reduce friction so that you don't need pliers. I was able to separate the wire ends with my finger tips. Got the new seat post installed and the...

BodyFloat / Specialized Turbo X - Seat Post Drilling for rear light wire

So my Kinekt seat post arrived today. I popped the seat post on my Vado SL 4.0 so I could make the switch, and here's what I found when I pulled out the tail light wires. The connectors look completely different. No flat male connector. This is completely different than what other people's...

The worst lock I bought was the most expensive...an Abus

Forget about what SF should "do about them". If you break into my house, you're getting shot. That'll discourage future burglary.

BodyFloat / Specialized Turbo X - Seat Post Drilling for rear light wire

Just ordered the Kinekt 2.1 suspension post and they provided the drill service at the Cirrus factory. Gonna install it when it arrives this week.

Kinect drilling a hole Retrofitting a Suspension Seat Post on a Vado SL 5.0 (lighting)

So Cirrus got back to me, and they're still offering the service. $25 to drill the seatpost at the factory. I ordered a Kinekt 2.1 and had them drill it. The post is on its way, should be here on Monday. Then I'll follow this guide and get it installed.

    Bike mechanics charge how much??

I mean, the internet is an amazing resource. You can teach yourself to do just about anything.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

That's quite a set up, I like it. You've obviously put a lot of thought and work into getting it just the way you like. Great idea setting the headlight on a GoPro mount, I'll have to try that. I had heard about Quadlock and looked into it briefly. But I had some hands-on time with Rokform...

Thanks for that dose of pure information. I like your cockpit setup there. Are you running the default Vado head light? And what about your grips? Got any mirrors? My plan for my cockpit is to replace the TCD mount with a Rokform stem mount, stick my phone in a Rokform case, and use my phone...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Thanks for the reply Stefan! That sounds really cool. One thing I was looking at was upgrading my stem with a suspension stem. But if it's possible to upgrade the entire fork to the new carbon fiber version and bring the overall weight down, I might explore that option. Any idea how much that...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I just got a Turbo Vado SL 4.0 and I'm excited about it. Can't wait to absorb all the knowledge of the other users here, this seems like a very active community. Question: has anyone ever upgraded an older model Vado with newer Vado features? For example, an older model frame with the newer...

Kinect drilling a hole Retrofitting a Suspension Seat Post on a Vado SL 5.0 (lighting)

From Cane Creek: Looks like it simply isn't safe to mod Cane Creek posts. Too bad. Still waiting to hear back from Cirrus.

Kinect drilling a hole Retrofitting a Suspension Seat Post on a Vado SL 5.0 (lighting)

Will do. And if Cane Creek doesn't come through I'll check with Cirrus Cycles and report back on their status as well.

Thanks so much for posting this guide. I'm about to do something similar to my own Vado.

This is awesome. I want to do something like this with a Cane Creek eeSilk. I just emailed them about having a factory drill job done.
