    Hello from Paris

Yes, I think it's quite the same feeling. Last saturday was a sunny day, not too hot and I can tell you it was great pleasure to ride in the city.

    Hello from Paris

Hi, Yes I guess it's rather different. But riding a bicycle in Paris changes the feeling of the town that you have. I like Paris and I think I like it more since I got my E-bike. The street are busy, that's right, but I feel like a watcher of the craziness of the car drivers and of the...

Does anyone have an Electra Townie Go?

I own one since last May. Very nice bike, but the saddle ha to be changed, cheap smooth saddle very uncomfortable . I changed the handlebar too.

    Am I one of the world's oldest e-bikers at81-years-old?

Yes, it's difficult to understand this $4K for a titanium frame, regarding the fact that if you go on the Budnitz shopping page, then to "components" you'll see that the steel frame is $550 and the titanium frame $1150.

    Budnitz Ebike

I've sent a mail to Budnitz company about the batteries : it appears that the KERS system improve the batterie's life between 2 charges. But you'll have to plug the bike from time to time. The bike is obviously overpriced. I wonder what would happen if I buy a Budnitz frame and build the bike...

    Am I one of the world's oldest e-bikers at81-years-old?

You are right for sure. But if I had the money I'd have bought this Budnitz : The bike is only 29 lbs, titanium frame, all in one electric hub, with batteries in the hub and KERS system. The only issue (for me) is the price, over $9000.

I hope they 'll look like the Budnitz bikes, here is their Model E :

    Cruiser handlebars on Radwagon

I changed it for a "Beach cruiser bullhorn" handlebar. The original handlebar is really too short, if you want a relaxing riding position.

It's a pleasure to wake up this morning and find your message. Regards from Paris.

    Am I one of the world's oldest e-bikers at81-years-old?

Few months ago I thought I was too old (64) to buy an E-bike. What a joke...

    Cruiser handlebars on Radwagon

I had the same problem with mi Electra Townie 8i, you have to be really careful about the space needed by the shifting gear control on the right side. I had no problem with the wiring. Before : After :

    Alibaba and Chinese Vendors

I agree : In China as elsewhere you can find very good and very bad. And if you want to understand why bicycles are not made in USA, or Europe have a look to this video. http://film.britishcouncil.org/how-a-bicycle-is-made There, you understand that building a bike (electric or not) is a lot of...

    Suntour NCX

Do you know the Zefal Lock'n Roll system ? It's a clever system to lock the seat post. You lock the seat post as usual and if you want to unlock it, you have to put the bike upside down. (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)

    Suntour NCX

You are right but it depends on the saddle. I had to slide my B67 Brooks towards the front in order to set it on the NCX post. Otherwise the mechanism can't work properly.

    Saddle Sores

I did exactly the same thing as soon as I got my Electra Townie 8i. The saddle was cheap an much too smooth. I bought a Brooks B67, what a difference. It's expensive but the feeling is great.

    Hello from Paris

Hi Robie, I'd say I live differently in Paris with an E-bike. But as I was born in Paris 64 ago and as I've lived in this city for these 64 years, it's hard to discover something new but why not.:)

    Dongle on Bosch System

If somebody is interested, I've one brand new Badassbox type 3.4 for Bosch to sell. I just tried it on my bike for a 10 km. trip. That's not my cup of tea. Price is $100 + $10 for the shipping.

    Electra Townie Go 8I Reviews

Roller brakes are very good. You just have to put some grease (special Shimano grease) in them from time to time. Shimano recommends to do this every 5000 km. Or every 6 months if you are in a hilly area. That's the only maintenance.

    Electra Townie Go 8I Reviews

$1800 is an incredibly low price regarding the price of this bike in France ( around $2900). Are you sure that it is the 8i with the Bosch system? If it is you'll make a great deal.
