How do you meet MTB buddys?

Since Im pretty new to mountainbiking and Im getting a fully end of the month, I still dont know anyone else who is mountainbiking in my area. There are not many trails in my vincinity, so its hard to meet people here. Then there is the thing, that Im getting a eMTB, so very long rides are...

Well, tbh I have yet to meet a salesman who really knows his stuff with ebikes. Even the LBS I go doesnt really have experts on ebikes, I mean here what really happened once. We went to test and buy a Haibike Sduro Trekking 4.0 for my father. As meticulous as I am, I researched pretty much...

    Rad Power Bike Availability

The number 300 was stated by one of the ceo´s or whatever from rad in the facebook group. I already told them what I think about their methods of handling shortage and business issues, its their choice of course and the business is going great for them, for now at least. Overhyped compared to...

As far as I know, here in germany no LBS works on Bosch or Yamaha motors on their own, they all get sent to the company. LBS are specialists for bikes, not motors, therefore its logical that they outsource the job to the company they got the motors from.

Should one remove the battery dh park?

First you should research if ebikes are actually allowed at the bike park you visit. There are many bike parks who dont allow ebikes on their trails (for whatever reason) and that would already answer your question then. If you only go DH and use a lift for climbing, I´d leave the battery out...

    Rad Power Bike Availability

Tbh? They dont need to. Last batch of Step-Thru were about 300 bikes. They sold out in under 5 minutes. Thats 450.000 $ made in 5 minutes. But its sad, that they dont manage to sort out more then 300 bikes for a batch, when they know people are going to rip that number apart in under 5...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

Thanks, I wholeheartly hope so too :D Otherwise that pricetag would extremly hurt me. Never had the idea or intent to spend this much money on a bike.... but oh well. You only live once or something?

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

@WalkinTarget Its actually the other way around. The S Frame is way harder to organize/get then the ones above, because the S frames are produced way less, since they arent that popular/needed. Everything starting at M would have been avaiable end of july, but the S frames are sold out till...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

Good news for me, the haibike supplier found a Allmtn 9.0 with the right frame size (S) for me, incredible lucky because someone jumped off the purchase, otherwise I could have waited for nearly half a year or longer. Now I only have to wait till the end of the month and I´ll finally get out on...

Alltmtn 9.0 vs Fullseven LT 9.0

Im quite in a predicament. The Allmtn 9.0 which I want to get is completly out of stock so I thought about going with the Fullseven LT 9.0, which is pretty similar. The frames only have really minor differences, the components are nearly all the same except front and rear suspension. Its pretty...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

Solid components, even though I like oneby drivetrains. Otherwise solid suspension in the back, I dont know about the front suspension. Haibike always makes very atractive bikes, currently waiting for the Allmtn 9.0, sold out in germany unfortunaly.

Now I just have to wait....

Well, I got super excited for the XDURO Allmtn 9.0, sold a old ddr motorcycle which I restored to pretty much original condition (so that project was done), to get the money for the Allmtn 9.0. Its pretty much the most expensive thing I wanted to buy right after car ever. I mean 5400€ mrsp is...

Thoughts on the Haibike SDURO Trekking 4.0?

I do agree with your logic, but somehow the handling that I experienced told me otherwise. The handling of the shorter bike was horrible, dont ask me why though. Its not even that much of a difference in wheelbase lenght.

Thoughts on the Haibike SDURO Trekking 4.0?

I´d avoid the "low-steps", because the wheelbase is shorter on the low steps and the bike feels completly different. We tried out a low-step vs a normal step frame and the bike behaved completly different. My father bought the "normal" one.

    Defunct

Then apparently the issue is the LBS and not really the bike. The title indicates otherwise. Not the bikes fault your LBS is apparently very bad.

    Best bang for the buck

Well tbh, Im kinda a MTB rookie too, and I go hard. Then again, here in germany the "flatlands" dont really have much to offer trail wise. Depends where you live I guess?

    Best bang for the buck

I mean, it always depends I guess? You can get pretty bad fully bikes with cheap components for less money, and the other way around. I think this "comparison" does not answer any question. As far as I saw, mid-drives tend to be more pricey then hub drives. Then again, till now I only saw...

    Radrhino in germany for sale

Im thinking of parting with my Radrhino. While its a really good bike, I want to upgrade something that fits my offroad needs more (investing over 5k € into a new bike). Radrhino is in working condition, has 700km / 435 miles on it, barely anything. Bought it for 1700€, its now for sale for...

Currently writing a comparison list, need help regarding components

I appreciate your answer. Still I decided to go with the Allmtn 9.0 because it has all the components I´ll propably need and there is no need to change anything on that bike to fit it to my liking. Your described route may be better for the money, but not if you calculate in the work required...
