Known Issues & Problems with Espin Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Doesn't make any sense to me off the top of my head but I guess when the wheel comes off the disc / rotor comes out from between the calipers. I would imagine if you squeezed a lever then the Piston might overextend and possibly suck in air but I think it would have to pop out for that to...

Known Issues & Problems with Espin Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Thanks, maybe I'll check with them if I can bring my wheel in. I did it myself using the zip tie method but it would be nice if they have a wheel truing machine that can work on an e-bike hub motor. As for the espin Sport and the brake situation I don't really want to take it somewhere I just...

Known Issues & Problems with Espin Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I emailed them on May 23rd. I received an email back saying that it would be passed on to "their mechanic" then they would get back to me but I haven't heard anything since. I realize it's not like buying a car but it would be nice if these companies could include a PDF with a parts list. Most...

My sons/ wife’s sport needed a brake bleed recently when I did it the washer for the brake lever split. Does anyone know where to get the parts or even the exact model of brakes? Also the controller ( assist up/ down , off and on) split where it mounts to the bar . Anyone have to replace this...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I actually prefer the black and white display on the Sport over my 700's color regarding visibility. Especially when wearing polarized shades

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

My son and wife share an Espin Sport and I have also found PAS 1 to be a bit too much a few times when I ride it. I definitely appreciate being able to adjust assist percentages on my ride1up 700 .

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I can say I have ridden both and I do prefer the 700 That is not to say the espin isn't good. I got a sport for my son that he shares with my wife. If someone prefers it it feels lighter to me, which it is by a few pounds but the difference feels like more, I actually like to substantial feel of...

Known Issues & Problems with Ride1Up Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Fwiw I've had it be an issue without throwing the code. I could tell it felt just like it did when it did throw the code so I adjusted the screw on both levers and it stopped

Who knows I was just floating it. I had a couple of times where the power wasn't coming on or it was cutting out. Not sure if you're aware but there's a little screw, I believe it is 4 mm , that if you turn it clockwise it will adjust the sensor in the brake lever for the brake cut off.

Have you tried adjusting the brake levers to make sure it is in the brakes cutting the motor out?

Known Issues & Problems with Ride1Up Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I found it easiest to put the wheel on when I flip the bike upside down and rested it on the seat and handlebars. I'm assuming you got those torque washer then right there's really only one way that makes sense with them the way they lock into the frame I push the wheel in all the way till the...

How does Ride1Up Produce Better Ebikes with less cost and effort than established rivals (eg Juiced)?

I got a 700 series last August and been pretty happy with it so far. I also assume that they get a discount for volume purchases of parts which helps. I also think the competition in the market means the profit per bike is probably a little on the low side which may hurt some companies in the...

No they wanted me to send the controller back after I changed it. I do have some pictures of the new one before I put it in and the old one I think I'll see if I can find them

Known Issues & Problems with Ride1Up Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

When you say you had to replace the whole shebang what do you mean? Obviously the chain but The chain ring doesn't look original. I replaced a controller on my 700 series and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It actually helps you figure the bike out when you work on it which is always...
