A lot of us also bought the bike when it was on sale for $2600, which made it easier to accept the risks. I know of one person who had a motor failure and got a replacement from Priority. It was a relatively quick and smooth process.

Just to clarify - although they are an American company, the Current is not American made. It is also not Pinon geared.

The motor does seem different than most of their existing models. Truckrun often offers customization (i.e. the motor on the Priority Current, which I have, or the motors on the Rambo bikes, are just customized versions of their more common motor), but this seems like a different design.

One of these days I'll cross the bridge and ride to Sausalito (with a full battery of course!) to see how the Current handles it.

Glad it was helpful. I tried to report equally on what was positive and what was negative. Even better that, the way their pre-orders work, if you find a better bike or a better deal in these 2 months, you can just cancel the pre-order :)

That's the Costco price ($2600). There's no guarantee you'll get it, but often if you just ask they give it to you.
