    Who's got a Current?

While searching for a good e-bike, I've learned a thing or two, but tires is definitely an area I know nothing about - sorry! All I can say is I ride in San Francisco which has broken glass from car windows EVERYWHERE. I have about 1200 miles on this bike and no tire-related incidents so far...

    Who's got a Current?

You may have seen this already, but I wrote a bunch about mine when I got it last year. There are a bunch of posts scattered around this thread (look for posts with pictures) start with the one in this link. Maybe I'll consolidate it in a single review and post it to this forum.

Priority Current - Instructions & Maintenance Videos

Hi folks, Now that we have a dedicated space for Priority Bicycles, I thought I'd start a thread to aggregate useful instructional and maintenance content specific to this bike. If you find anything I missed, feel free to post! Intro. to Current Shimano vs Enviolo Assembly guide Basic...

Best fast, comfortable bike for commuting/touring, under $4000

Not weighing in on your choice itself, but just wanted to add that if you're a Costco member you can likely get the Current for cheaper. Regarding the upright position, the adjustable stem helps a lot + buying a new handlebar with more rise is fairly cheap and easy to swap out.

Priority Bicycles just launched the most affordable Gates belt mid-drive e-bike

I cannot help your decision directly, but I want to add some thoughts here. Disclaimer that I am a happy owner of a Priority Current - no issues with it so far. For $100 to $200 you can add a suspension stem to your Current, which can help with some of the handlebar vibration/impact.You can...

    Truckrun 500 Watt Mid drive

Cool! I have the M01 but I couldn't see close up photos on that link and it seemed a bit different. Thanks!

Not to discourage you or anything, but the manufacturer of the motor, in their product listing, also discourages the use of throttle for motor specced over a certain wattage. Not sure why. The RX and the Current are definitely very different bikes. For one, the RX has a much stronger motor (and...

Priority just released a second battery option for the Current.

The Current's original battery also uses Samsung 35E cells. It's built by these folks https://vdbattery.com/

Sub $3000 Leisure/Commuter Bike For Hilly Area [Final Choice: Priority Current]

Hey folks - thanks for the comments, I appreciate it! This was my first ebike and I am very careful with how I spend my money, so I figured all the time I spent looking into it should also be used to make other people's journey easier. I'm glad to hear it has helped people make a decision, and...

Priority Bicycles just launched the most affordable Gates belt mid-drive e-bike

I have a few comments - not sure if they're helpful or what you want to hear. I'm also not making excuses for the bike/company, but just sharing my experience. First, the Current initially shipped with a smoother controller setting. It would keep power delivery at low speeds fairly low, so that...

A review of the Priority Current with Enviolo after a month of daily use

All seems very consistent with what I've experienced and written about. Glad you're enjoying the bike! At first I was a little spooked by your range, but I guess at high assist and speeds, it makes sense!

Stuck in Analysis Hell - Please Help!! (Dost, Rize, Priority)

I would have helped, but I am sure you'd read my thread and I don't think there's much I haven't said there already. One comment I have is that the Rize RX from when I made my decision is different from the Rize RX of today. Their ugly style of before was one of the things that put me off...

Sub $3000 Leisure/Commuter Bike For Hilly Area [Final Choice: Priority Current]

Nice! How much did you end up paying? I think the biggest strength to the other bikes is the motor. The truckrun motor is the biggest gamble here and none of us really know how reliable they will be. In terms of torque, I honestly wouldn't go by the manufacturer's number, as I am personally...

Dost Kobe or Priority Current or Trek Allant 8?

I am not going to weigh in here as I don't know enough about the others. Just wanted to add that the Priority Current can now be purchased with the Enviolo hub for an additional fee.

Sub $3000 Leisure/Commuter Bike For Hilly Area [Final Choice: Priority Current]

Congrats on the bike! I can't offer much advice about transporting it, as the Current is literally my primary means of transportation. Regarding removing the front wheel, I've only done it a couple of times, but it's pretty easy. All you have to do is open the cam, rotate it counter clockwise...

Sub $3000 Leisure/Commuter Bike For Hilly Area [Final Choice: Priority Current]

Regarding the smoothness, without know exactly your experience, I'd say it's normal. Indeed, the bike feels much smoother without assist, but that's natural. It would be hard for the motor action to be perfectly smooth. I think this is more noticeable when you're having the motor do a lot and...

Sub $3000 Leisure/Commuter Bike For Hilly Area [Final Choice: Priority Current]

In the end, I recommend not overthinking it and just enjoying the purchase. I have no regrets on my Current. As we've debated extensively in this thread, it's not the perfect bike, but it's a fantastic option at its price point. @ephemere As an out of shape dude, I very rarely ride it with...
