Seat Post w/>25mm offset, 30.9mm dia????

Standover is over-rated. How much time do you spend standing over the top tube compared to how much time you spend on the saddle? For me on my commute, it's zero. However, reach and top tube length are critical for good handling and proper pedalling fit. I also don't like having the front wheel...

    Front Air Suspension???

You need a shock pump. The cheapest one will be fine for a commuter fork which doesn't do much. Typically sag is set to around 25%, but you could go less if you want a firmer ride. The lock-out is there for people who should have bought a rigid fork (i.e. any road bike), or people who like to...

Seat Post w/>25mm offset, 30.9mm dia????

Trade it in for the next size up - nothing worse than riding too small a frame. These Giant commuters fit very small, the reach figures are more suited to a road frame with drops and a massive old-school 110-120mm stem, than a commuter with a flat/low rise bar. Modern bike geometry trends...

Known Issues & Problems with Giant Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Yep - took the rack off, put it upside down in a woodwork bench vice and pulled the rack stays over to the right. Only took a small tweak but it wasn’t possible on the bike.

Horizons are only 47mm. G-Ones are 2.25" (57mm). 2.8" rubber will reduce your range considerably.

Why would you want 2.8s? Going beach riding? Here's another example of clearance from the bike rack:

Doubt anything much bigger would fit. The chainstay clarance on mine is around 3-4mm on LHS, and even with better dishing might only be 5-6mm

I think you're right - motorbikes don't have these issues and they're full of electronics, even dirt bikes have computers

I sprayed the Evo display seams, all cable entry ports (including the frame ports) and the controller button assembly with CRC 808 Silicon. It won't cause harm and will help resist water ingress. If it's absolutely hosing down or the bike is being transported on a rack in rain, I'll put a latex...

First thing I did I put a wider bar on my one... Way more control.

Congrats and a nicely framed shot. Interesting to see the suspension fork on a Quick E

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?

No motor issues with my Quick E, one month in. I did tighten the motor mounts after the first few rides and the crank bolts need regular retensioning (really wish they'd used Shimano splined Hollowtech BB/cranks instead of those nasty square taper cranks). My buddies have Trance E's and they...

    Giant 2020 ebikes?

TYpically shops here want to clear the floor in June/July ready for first shipments of next years models in August/Sept. Lucky to find the right size still on special now...

    Giant 2020 ebikes?

A 60-80mm suspension fork for a commuter can be found pretty easily. And a 2.35” 27.5 tyres is much more comfortable and more importantly has far better grip and braking than a 700x45 tyre. The Quick E has better brakes, shifter and derailleur than the Fastroad. Make sure you get the biggest...

Click feel and sound after free wheeling

There are effectively two freewheels or freehubs on a mid drive ebike, a normal one attached to the rear wheel hub, and one in the motor which allows the cranks to spin backwards without moving the chainring. The clunky feel is is most obvious when both freehubs are active (when the bike is...

I talked to John at Giant NZ and they said "Unfortunately they are unavailable and will be for a while we have about 6 on back order with Giant and are waiting for them. They have no ETA" Any pannier fit well without the Mik Rack adapter?
