    Broke Spokes

I just had 3 break as well. I'm going to try some sapim strongs, which are 2.3mm (11ga) butted at the elbow, and 2mm (12ga) for the rest. These are $1.95 in black with alloy nipples from wheelbuilder.com After reading up on it, the consensus seems to be that butted is better than straight as...

    4th flat in 2 months

Well after 3 days of fighting with it, I did get the amerityre on the rear (front snapped right in). It was exceedingly difficult, but the ride on these tires is really pretty good, not great on bumps of course, but grip is nice and rolling is no problem. I'm not sure why it was so hard to get...

Radwagon: Smaller cassette or bigger crankset?

So I got a epoch 11-30 installed and up and running. Much better. Having a little trouble getting the rear derailleur to adjust correctly to get to the biggest 30t cog, but I don't really need it either. I'll probably mess with it more at some point but not a big priority. One word of...

Radwagon: Smaller cassette or bigger crankset?

Has anyone tried to upgrade the crankset or cassette to higher gear ratios for the wagon? I was looking at a tourney cassette that goes to an 11 tooth small gear (stock is 14), or I saw some tourney cranksets that go up to 50t. Are either those a possibility for the wagon? I don't know a...

    4th flat in 2 months

I just bought a pair of Amerityre 26x1.95 solids, they should be here tomorrow so I will report back on them. If it helps the bead width for the rims on the radwagon is 25mm and the depth is 14mm. My ride isn't super bumpy, but I got a flat on my first actual commute with the radwagon, and in...
