Why the big brand (Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano etc.) battery packs cost so much?

Bosch batteries aren't doing some hocus pocus magic that others can't do. They are the same lithium ion batteries than everyone else are using. Bosch doesn't manufacture cells themselves and their cells lasts as long as everyone else that uses similar brand cells. And if you look at this video...

Pedal assist on Bafang BBS01 - 02, is it real pedal assist?

I suggest you to put speed limit on 100% on all pas levels and then limit curren with 10% increments. Keplers settings here: https://electricbike-blog.com/2015/06/26/a-hackers-guide-to-programming-the-bbs02/ By far the most natural cycling feeling settings on bbs02.

Why the big brand (Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano etc.) battery packs cost so much?

If you buy in bulk like large manufacturers do you can get quality panasonic/lg/samsung cells for as low as 2 dollars per cell. As this Bloomberg graph shows what is in my original post also shows that for manufacturers on average for 1 kWh battery cells costs only 102 dollars anymore ...

Why the big brand (Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano etc.) battery packs cost so much?

Yeah the current big brand battery prices are just pure robbery. They must have really high margins when they are selling their mass produced batteries with so high prices. All big brands 500Wh batteries costs here 700-1000€ which is just insane.

Why the big brand (Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano etc.) battery packs cost so much?

So lithium ion battery prices have dropped significantly in the last 10 years. But still Bosch, Shimano, Yamaha etc. sell their battery packs really high prices what could be the reason behind this? You need to pay upwards 700€/$850 for 500Wh battery packs, their pricing is like straight from...

    E-Bike Battery Guide

Any charger recommendations for 48V 24Ah battery in Hailong casing and 3 XLR connector? I'd like something smart that I can change to charge only to 80% or 90%. Is there cheaper alternatives than those in original post?

    BBSO2 low top speed

Yeah seems like on pas 9 I can get only the rated 750W out and with throttle I can go up to 1100-1200W.

    BBSO2 low top speed

Ok I installed throttle to the bike. It seems that if I'm pedalling it's restricted to that speed but with throttle I can go beyond that.

    BBSO2 low top speed

I have Chamrider 24Ah 48V battery. I use same battery with my rearhub MXUS XF15 motor which max wattage is about 800-900 and it goes 45km/h.

    BBSO2 low top speed

Thanks I heard that 25A is the recommended max for BBS02. I think I need to get programming cable then.

    BBSO2 low top speed

I have BBS02b middrive motor with 48V battery and my top speed is relatively low I can barely hit 35km/h(21.7mph) while pedalling. My front chainring is 48t and rear is 11-36 and my bike is 29er. What could be the problem? Something wrong with the programming?

Hailong 03 down tube battery - how to attach it appropriately?

Yeah this is what I was thinking about myself in post #5. Just thinking how thick it should be and should I use nuts or try to thread it the top points. I also thought about using din rail putting it sides down against the frame:

Hailong 03 down tube battery - how to attach it appropriately?

Yeah something like that could be an option. Only problem is that I can only get one hole on the metallic part of the battery.

Hailong 03 down tube battery - how to attach it appropriately?

I saw solution like this online. Using some 5-10 mm/0,2-0,4 inches thick aluminum slab could be option. Problem with grin products is that I live in EU so it would be extremely expensive to ship them here and they are out of the stock most of the time.
