    Attempted Ebike Theft Averted

Strange that the cyclist where escorting the perpetrator to the police station and not the cops.

    Free tuning method.

I totally agree with this. Also, regarding emtbing, if you can go over 20mph on the trails then the trails your riding are not tight, twisty, technical and challenging enough. Find better trails.

Anyone ever get the leather grips off?

Wedge a very small screwdriver between the grip and handlebar and work in a moderate amount of rubbing alcohol. It will quickly slip right off. Super easy. Splash a bit of the alcohol inside the grip right before so it will easily slip back on. Position and let dry for awhile. The beauty of the...

Is it okay to park an e-bike outdoors in rain during work day?

I was out riding on one of my kitted bikes that have the standard dolphin battery pack, and there was a sudden downpour. I quickly locked it up outside a McDonald's and dived inside for cover. The ebike was left out in about 40 minutes of drenching rain. When the rain stopped I tried to dry the...

    Tickets when using bike rack

This is a short video of a light board I made for the rack, installed on my wife's car. Working on installing a pigtail for my car. I'm not going to worry about the license plate being clearly visible until I actually get pulled over for it.

    Bike rear rack

Here's the one I have. 1up.com Really well-built and easy to use. The extra yellow straps are just to give it a little more stability during rapid acceleration...

    Tickets when using bike rack

Yep, it's a 1UP. I really like it, so easy to use and well-built. I specifically chose it because it is all metal and there are no plastic parts to break. It is also modular, so I can use just one rail making it slimmer and lighter if I'm just going out myself.

    Tickets when using bike rack

Thanks for the feedback Mrgold35. I plan to use the same rack on my truck camper and will develop some sort of light bar similar to your magnetic trailer light set up. Maybe make some sort of light bar. Easy to do for my truck as I can plug it right into the trailer light receptacle. Not so much...

    Tickets when using bike rack

I recently installed a platform rack on my car. Although the brake and turn signal lights can been seen through the bicycle spokes but not that great. Also, the vehicle's license plate is not visible directly behind. I'm concerned that I may get pulled over and cited by the police, however I see...

Bulls E-Stream EVO FS Enduro 27.5 Video Review

Nope, I normally peddle at a high cadence and have tried to get it to make that noise. Maybe I have a defective one?

Bulls E-Stream EVO FS Enduro 27.5 Video Review

I have the exact same bike as in the video, and mine doesn't make any scratchy noise at anytime. I'ts virtually silent, as apposed to my Bosch powered Haibike which makes a definite whirring noise.

    Handlebar lengths

The way I learned to size handlebars correctly from many years of riding off-road motorcycles is to do several push ups. Measure the distance span between the outside of your hands at the position that gives you the best stance and power. This is supposed to be the best width of your handbars...

    eBike as Car Replacement ?

I've got a Tesla Model S, and although I really like driving it, I enjoy riding my ebikes more! I ride the bike daily, but sometimes go a week without driving the car.

    eBike as Car Replacement ?

Also consider installing a kit such as the Electric Bike Outfitters if you like your current bike.

    pas sensor works backwards.

Flip the plastic PAS disc around. I did this on a kit installation and experienced the same result as you. Keep it on the chain ring side, just flip it over.

    Some unusual accessories

Pretty bloody judgy for a Kiwi! ;) I like the seat, similar to my Brooks B67, but I would probably install some pull-back Northroads handlebars to complete the ensemble.

    Organic Transit Elf

Very good response and illustrates that there is always two sides to a story. If true, it seems like OT tried their best to satisfy the OP.

    Organic Transit Elf

I agree with Popeye's suggestion that you should take it to an ebike shop and see if it is indeed something simple like a loose wire. This would save you a lot of grief and get you going again. Loose or broken ground wire connections can cause all sorts of weird problems, and are easy to correct...

Safety precautions while riding a bike

Just last week I let a friend try out one of my emtbs. As I handed him a helmet and gloves he tried to refuse. I told him; "you can't ride my stuff if you don't". Boy I am so glad I made him wear them as a few miles into the ride he grabbed too much brake (hydro brakes are very powerful!) and...
