    Trek Support STINKS

That would be the absolute WORST thing that could happen to the electric car industry. If GM bought TMC they would certainly close all the open patents, "shelve" the technology, and go back to producing all ICE, and the executive will all vote themselves a big round of bonuses for a job well done.

    Trek Support STINKS

I've got a $95K Tesla Model S and I couldn't get touch up paint either. Best I got was the paint code.

The price of eBikes is out of control

Did you offer to let that couple take a spin on your ebikes? I've gotten the same price shock reaction until they take a ride on them and come back with a big smile on their face and giggling like a kid.

    NYC Electric Bike Law

They need to get the bikes off the sidewalks to make room for the automonous delivery robots such as the ones in DC and San Francisco http://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2017/03/23/520848983/hungry-call-your-neighborhood-delivery-robot

How bike or ebike friendly are the Utah National Parks

This is very correct. Most of the Rangers would prefer people didn't come. Less work and they get paid the same regardless.

    Haibike dealer support is terrible.

Where are you located Sweetwater? If anywhere near Mesa AZ I highly recommend Archer Bikes. Despite not buying my Haibike from them, they graciously performed warranty work and a software update for me at a nominal charge. Very professional too!

    EBO Phantom Kit Review

Very cool bike! I like the simple frame and the disk brakes. Very sano. That picture certainly wasn't taken in OC, where is it? Looks like Navajo lands in AZ to me. Or maybe Moab?

    Deciding on a kit

Humm... I vaguely remember having the same problem on a bike. Are you absolutely sure there aren't any more washers you can take out, perhaps on the freewheel side? If not, I would put the nuts in a vise and file them a little thinner. you probably just need a half millimeter on each side to...

The EBO kits have a throttle that will easily help you along when walking the bike.

    Deciding on a kit

Congrats on the purchase! If you have a sealed bottom bracket wrench, you'll need the appropriate socket tool, if you have an old-style bearings and cone style crank axle then you might get away with typical tools, but a pin spanner will be nice. Beware that the bottom bracket has left hand...

The growth of lithium-ion battery power

I'm sure Tesla will be using their sophisticated BMS and cooling system on the Powerwall that they use on their cars. Much higher quality cells than you see on laptops and cell phones.

    ConVinci

In the photo of the guy holding the motor unit, he doesn't appear to be straining... :) So that is good. Neat idea of incorporating the transmission with the motor unit. Always great to see another sophisticated player in the ebike market!

The growth of lithium-ion battery power

Interesting charts, but I don't think the manufacturing capacity one even accounts for the Tesla Gigafactory's capacity. Once they get their Powerwall going at the anticipated price, not to mention filling the backlog of the new Model 3, there is going to be a tremendous out of output of...

    2017 KTM Fogo

JRA, you sound very knowledgeable on running tubeless. I have a questions that has been perplexing me, and perhaps you know the answer: On both my Haibike and Bulls emtbs with "tubeless ready" wheels I found the rim strip to be much more substantial than the thin rubber ones that I have been...

    2017 KTM Fogo

I think it might be because the sealant (i.e. Stan's, OrangeSeal, etc.) needs to be renewed in several months and who knows how long a particular bike sits in the warehouse or dealer's floor. I think it would be a great additional service that the LBS can provide to customers further separating...

    Deciding on a kit

There are freewheels, which are most common in older and/or less expensive bikes, and there are cassettes that are on newer/more expensive bikes. Freewheels are pretty easy to remove with the special tool, but I'll bet your local bike shop will remove it for free or at the most a very nominal...
