Jonah, Great to hear. The Easy Motion West Coast Sales Manager has 3 BodyFloats, he travels with it on his demo Evo's as well as his personal road and CX bikes. And good on the Brooks. So why does it make the bike handle better? That's some of the benefits of our unique design features. Now...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

--- Mike, What you've described is expected. With no-preload, full movement of your mass will cause the system to bottom out at 260 lbs. Think of it this way, once a mass is in motion, it tends to stay in motion so as you dialed the pre-load down, you got less movement and travel of your...

Shea, Steve and others...we're excited to share with you all what we've learned, and continue to learn, through developing this product. We've heard the negative banter of the car salesman, selling snake oil, etc...we do hear you and also have thick skins as we are passionate about sharing what...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

Steve, There are plenty of lower priced Suspension Seatposts out there, and there always will be, but none will work as well due to the simple physics that we are tapping into. BodyFloat Isolation Seatpost isolates and connects the masses of both the bike and rider in a way unlike anything on...

Did you strip one of the screws? Let's see if we can get that fixed. If it's the top links, a single bolt will hold it together, but we do, of course, recommend both. The side bolts only need about 3nm of torque.

The small red elastomers in the top spring guide are there for softening the bottom-out...but can actually be removed to increase travel range. I prefer to ride with no bottom out elastomers. If you are bottoming out the system often you can do a few things: 1 - remove the elastomers to...

At 220 you should be on an Orange/Orange spring (or Orange/Black if you're a really smooth rider). Regarding the numb butt...that has much more to do with the saddle you're on and how you are sitting on it. Once the BodyFloat is under you, you should be able to hold and maintain much more...

Couple of options: Firstly, continue to ride...if it works, don't change it! Simple increase tension on the rear pre-load bolt until you like it best. For more detailed info, please look over the Advanced Tuning Chart. Remember this, the first thing you build when you build a house is a...

And regarding using shims. Shims often seem to come with poor finishing on the cuts. We recommend using a small round file and softening the top/bottom and cut line of the shim. This will relieve scratching of any post. Also, for more traction if slippage is an issue, gently scar the inside...

Been a while since I've chimed in on this thread. We are diligently plugging away and continuing to grow a very loyal, and impressed, base of users for BodyFloat. So I'd like to start share what we're learning through this product. Please ask questions of why BodyFloat is so...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

One thing to keep in mind is that, most often, it is ideal to minimize both spring rate AND travel down to as little as necessary, and possible, to support your weight and riding style on that certain bike. Eliminate extra travel that isn't needed...it just turns into wasted energy. That's...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

It won't feel "better" per se...it will feel how you want it to. As Einstein pops into my head, it's all relative. BodyFloat feels the same for a 50 lb kid as it does for 250 lb kid. Our principle of isolating the mass is: control the inertia of BOTH the rider and bike to produce any feel you...

Bring it on. At 260 you're at the 'upper end' of our current model as posted on our tuning chart. That said, I've floated 300lbs with great success. I've also got a 270lbs road rider on a O/B spring and he's happy as can be. (FYI: shooting for a future model to levitate at 400lbs...stay...
