Sadly the yellow is only available in XL.
They also have the 4.0 EQ on sale at $3250 but not the non EQ. I guess in the US the non EQ versions are far more popular compared to other places where bikes are used for commuting vs mostly recreation here.
Thanks, that's what I figured but it seems odd that components weren't upgraded/changed in 2 years; adding a new color is nice though I prefer the original unpainted aluminum which is quite unique.
I looked at the specs and just didn't find anything compelling regarding that bike vs the non carbon Specialized SLs. Not even a massive weight advantage.
Quick question; have their been ANY changes to the Turbo Vado SL 5.0 since mine was built in October of 2021 for the 2022 model year other than the recent addition of the black color option?
My friend is finally going to pull the trigger now that he can get zero interest financing through...
I'd never heard of that bike but it does not offer a lightweight front shock solution from what I can see which is actually a useful feature for me on my 5.0.
It is marginally lighter than my 5.0 by 3 lbs or so as a result. I wonder if the claimed 60 mile range is optimistic.
The wired...
Agreed, unless the weight dropped 10 lbs, which is basically impossible at the moment, no thought of upgrading for the newer version as I'm quite happy with the abilities of the SL 5.0 non EQ. Really don't need any extra range beyond stock as there is zero range anxiety as it is such a great...
I asked my wife to get me this for Christmas for grocery shopping and whatnot.

Already got this lock which sits at home most of the time...
The seat on my 5.0 SL non EQ is excellent.
I do wish the rear light had the ability to blink.
I run an additional blinking rear light so no deal breaker.
Well, the tires are not 100 psi road tires and they are reasonably wide and have tread so definitely not a problem for gravel.
So it can function as a hybrid/commuter and gravel bike.
Yeah, I'm just not seeing the need for us TV 5.0 SL riders (or 4.0) to consider a change.
Nothing burger unlike on the MB SLs where the added torque might be welcome.
I wonder if you set the new 1.2 to the same torque and power as the current 1.1 whether you will get more range as they are touting the "efficiency" of the new design.
I love the 1.1 for its analog feel; no real need for more power or torque in my case.
The new motor offers no real weight...
So a small evolutionary change vs a revolutionary change.
I guess we'll have to wait for battery tech to take a leap and be happy that there really is no need to get rid of our SL1.1 bikes, (which I wasn't planning anyway).
Not sure my 5.0 SL needs a bit more power/torque for my riding habits but more range would be nice but that does not seem to be in the cards.
Doesn't seem like the new bike will be appreciably lighter either unless they go full carbon.
