The SL 5.0 non EQ fits my needs perfectly so no worries here.

I think I for one was day dreaming that battery tech would have progressed to the point that a longer range battery would carry no weight penalty so I have to admit to being a bit naive. Oh well, maybe in 10 years.

I wonder if the new battery will fit the 5.0 but as I don't even have the need for the ancillary bottle battery at the moment the "got to do it if possible" factor is once again low. Maybe I'll ask Santa for the bottle battery.

Other than range this is not the big step forward I thought it might be. My SL 5.0 will not be replaced; the "got to have it" factor is thankfully low.

Odd, it looks like the 6.0 Carbon weighs more than the 5.0. Larger battery the culprit?

Do you guys really "race" E'bicycles that are out on casual rides when riding throttle bikes?

None with my Turbo Vado SL 5.0 as it pedals as easily as a normal bicycle and at 33lbs is very easy to ride without assist. You just go slower.

I just use a $25 one strap bicycle messenger bag to fill with produce on our trips to Sebastopol at Andy's Market.

The only difference I noticed on his new bike vs mine was better quality of welds compared to my October 2021 build date.

Sadly the rear rack does not work without the fenders.

Oh, for me the 5.0 SL was a no brainer, for my friend who I sent the arrival of the new 5.0 SL in black for $4500, $500 less than I paid a year and a half ago, his response was "where can I get it for $4000." As if I'm some king of magician. He has MORE than enough cash to buy four of them but...

I have the 5.0 SL and like the Futureshock but some on here have the 4.0 SL with Redshift ShockStop and have reported good result.
