    Mayonnaise War :D

Mayo + lots of dill pickle relish + celery salt = the best tartar sauce I’ve found.

    Mayonnaise War :D

I hear that, if nothing else, Miracle Whip is good for lubricating bike chains… (Just kidding. I grew up with both. Dad preferred Miracle Whip, mom mayonnaise.)

    Fattebike owners?

Do the high end European e bike companies also use primarily Chinese sourced parts?

    Fattebike owners?

Yeah, it’s highly doubtful this is anything more than a Chinese unit with a “hand built” custom paint job.

    Mayonnaise War :D

Given the title of the thread, I considered modifying the story to say the shipment was on an English freighter sunk by a German U-boat. I.e., a casualty of war.

    Mayonnaise War :D

I saw it on the internet, so it has to be true, right? (Honestly that one has been making the rounds in early May on social media for a number of years.)

    Mayonnaise War :D

Most people don’t know that back in 1912, Hellmann’s mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York... This...

Battery Fire! What’s the latest News, Thoughts and Prevention

I don’t use my oven much. When I do, I have to manually light a propane pilot light, which I physically couldn’t do if a battery was in it. So in that situation, would a typical oven contain a battery fire? I’m on limited income and bought a UPP shrink wrapped 20ah 48v battery. Now I’m...

Battery Fire! What’s the latest News, Thoughts and Prevention

Simple idea - what about charging the battery inside an oven (not in use and no pilot light, of course)? I realize it would not contain smoke and toxic fumes. But would the average oven contain a fire that could erupt in an e bike battery?

But I refuse to give up pierogis, kielbasa, haluski and halupki. Even if I am a Kraut, not a Pole.

I wonder if a Nuvinci is available to fit a 170mm fat e bike frame?

Upgrading to a BBSHD on a BBS02 based e bike

The article I linked praised the Nuvinci above the SA 3sp, but said for the price the SA 3sp was a good stout reliable IGH for a mid motor application. Apparently the SA 3sp middle gear is machined into the central axle itself and if I understand this correctly, is not engaged by powls or dogs...

That article makes a ton of sense. It’s got me considering a Nuvinci too.

I have a PCP (precharged pneumatic - they have to be charged with a SCUBA tank) Benjamin Maurader .22 pellet rifle with a decent Weaver 1x5 scope. I can hit a head shot at 50 yards with it. Their mortality is getting higher.

I make a very tasty version of squirrel that is best described as "pulled squirrel." I cook it whole in a pressure cooker for an hour, clean all the meat off the bones, liberally add Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, put it in the oven at 350 for a half hour, and serve it like pulled pork. Its quite...

Upgrading to a BBSHD on a BBS02 based e bike

This article claims the three speed SA IGH, specifically the second gear of the SA 3sp, is stronger than any of the other common and affordable multi speed IGHs, due to the construction : https://www.electricbike.com/mid-drive-kit-igh/
