How Do You Carry Your Tools?

I carry my crap in a North Face ditty bag I won at an event years ago. The pseudo-MOLLE straps on the exterior are great to secure it. https://www.thenorthface.com/en-us/bags-and-gear/luggage-and-duffels/travel-accessories-c224548/base-camp-travel-canisters-pNF0A52TG?color=KY4

    Biking days are over.

Damnit, learning of this really stinks, @AHicks. Your posts here got me to join, I always look forward to your insights. Your post sounds somewhat hopeful (and very terrifying), so I am pulling for you and hope for many many years of rewarding experiences - and good health!!!!

Do you happen to recall what amber lights you used? I've gone down the rabbit hole and have found the following: Brightside light: https://brightside.bike/product/brightside-bike-light-sale/ Blackburn: https://www.blackburndesign.com/p/grid-side-beacon-bike-light-set/350140000200000033.html...

    Forum Features: Your Opinion Wanted!

@Court, @Angela M. not sure if it's possible, but I'd like to suggest a Cloaking/Hide Me option. Currently the forum has the Ignore button where we can mask/cloak posts by other users: what I am suggesting is an option to mask/cloak/hide my activity from specific users. Net effect would be those...

Recommendations for a wide angle headlight

Yeah so my attempt last night was an abject failure. The hastily rigged up mounting did not hold, and the lights I had lying around just weren't bright enough. Curiously, I did find that the Ion Elite light completely washes out the stock Lezyne headlight - and to my surprise, the Lezyne is...

New Firmware for multiple bikes. Only updatable via the bike shop

Rad Rover. Biktrix Stunner X. Specialized Vado. One-brand wonder, yeah. Keep standing in that bucket of your own piss and wonder about why you are such a miserable person.

Or, you know, you could act like an adult and contribute to the forum instead of acting out as a petty, pathetic little boy taking shots at a person/people every chance you get.

I have some amber lights I am going to ghettofab-affix to my fork as a test tonight. They blink or can be solid: before I get on the trails, I'll set them to solid and see if they make any appreciable difference. If they do, they may stay on or get obsoleted by some better lights.

I'da thunk by now your axe would be ground down to the handle. Your nonsense is getting very tiresome, and is unnecessary.

Is that spill several feet above the main beam from the light itself, or from the house or something else? That's one thing I'm trying to avoid: The Ion Elite has no cutoff, which renders it kind of useless and/or dangerous for approaching vehicles and pedestrians.

@Ravi Kempaiah thank you very much for this! That Zen Katana looks perfect for what I want - I was thinking along the lines of a proper SAE foglight for autos, and the Katana seems to mimic that for our bikes. Let me research it a bit more, and I may end up reaching out for one. Thank you again...

Recommendations for a wide angle headlight

I was hoping you would respond, I read through some of your prior posts about this topic and have read your blog/website. Your point about not relying a single light is very, um, illuminating. ;) I will probably spend more time thinking about what you've written here and on your site and use...

Recommendations for a wide angle headlight

I've spent time searching here and via Google, I guess at this point what I am seeking is personal experience with a wide-angle headlight. The stock headlight on my Vado is a "be seen" light, wholly inadequate for primary illumination. I have a Bontrager Ion something-or-other which is actually...

Mission Control STUCK on"processing rides", again, again, again

Had an interesting experience today. Earlier this week, I cleared cache one night, all rides logged since. Rode ~25mi today and upon returning to my truck, Mission Control did not process the ride, so I cussed. I also have the Specialized Ride app on my phone. I do not use it when riding, just...

Mission Control STUCK on"processing rides", again, again, again

I don't believe so, when I experienced this problem the ride was seemingly lost and never got processed. :(

Mission Control STUCK on"processing rides", again, again, again

I don't use Apple products, but if there is a way to clear the app's cache on your iPhone, give that a try. I had one ride fail to get processed on my Android device: after reading a bit, I just wiped MC cache (not all data, just cached) and have not had a problem since. I do still wipe the...

    Ok, I get it now...

I've had the Vado since June, and as I approach 1000 miles thought I'd look at some stats. Keep in mind I am a casual rider: no commuting, just rides after work and on weekends. My cadence and speed have been very consistent over this time span, not varying by more than 3rpm (cadence) and 1mph...
