2020 Como 4.0 Too Easy to Pedal

You don't say what model and year bike you have, but if it is new you can download the Mission Control app on your phone and it will allow you to change assist level settings for Eco, Tour and turbo modes. There is a Mission Control manual on Specialized web site that explains how to do it.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Great. Going Stefan, pretty sure my backside would not handle that distance even if my legs could.

I have not reversed my eco and sport mode positions, however I have more differential of assists between to two modes than Stefan so I notice immediately if I forget to set it to eco when starting off.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

After much testing it was determined my new Vado 4.0 needed a new battery, it arrived and I picked it up on 5/18. I've only been out a few times as it has been raining about every day here in Indianapolis. No Error code so the replacement battery resolved the issue. I'm glad I bought a step thru...

Not for sure what would happen during a panic stop, but from years on my motorcycle I start with the right, then start squeezing the left. So far it works on my bicycle.

Raising the handlebar on a '19 Vado 3.0

Thanks, 45 is a bit extreme, but there are a lot of reviews on the Jones bar site of people who love them even for trail rides which is more demanding than streets. As you said 15 might be a good starting point for $30.

Congrats, Hope you have better luck than I did. My Vado 4 is back in the shop after one day with a "battery error" which is going to require a new battery. Probably won't get it back for a week or so.

Raising the handlebar on a '19 Vado 3.0

That would give you 20mm more rise than my Deity bars. Plenty, if you're not trying to air out your arm pits 😆 Certainly 2 3/4” is a lot of rise, but within what others have done with risers. I need to figure out if 15 vs 45 degrees is the better back sweep. The COMO has 30 degrees and is...

Raising the handlebar on a '19 Vado 3.0

I'm also looking at raising my Vado 4 2020 bars. Was looking at perhaps handle bar replacement. Two options are: https://www.jonesbikes.com/jones-h-bar-loop-sg-2-5-aluminum-loop/ and ARCHER V2 or V3 CRUISER BAR...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Picked up my new Vado 4 today Sat 4/25 and went for a 24 mile ride. I didn't hear any grinding noise just the very low growl that Sierratim mentioned. Had a good ride, went out with my daughter and son-in-law who were both on road bikes. My 72 year old body would never have kept up if not on the...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Hi, This may not be the correct place to post this, but I've been reading with interest. I've been looking at the Vado 4 and Como 4 and while I prefer the ride comfort of the Como. I'm in my 70's and prefer a bit more upright position, but I'm leaning toward the Vado for the suspension. While...

So far the Como Tubo is the most comfortable I have ridden. I didn’t like the way the Pedego’s felt, not like a normal bike. Also only 20 mph. It’s interesting the Vado Tubo is cheaper at the 3 level, but when you move to the 4 it switches. Could buy the Vado Tubo 3, add comfort seat & post and...

Thanks, I agree that local support is important. I am ruling out a number of good options since there are no local bike shops that carry them. Trek, Electra, Giant and Specialized are the big three around here. There are a few others I still need to look into.

So far I haven’t been able to lock onto my requirements. I think I want a class 3 just so getting to 20 is easier and may want to go faster at times, but perhaps class 1 would be sufficient. I did ride a Trek Verve, which while nice seemed a bit weak. Also suspension fork seems like a good...
