    Top Chinese Ebike moped-style manufacturers?

I know this is an inactive thread, but I just came across it. Instead of random Alibaba companies, this company looks like it is a fairly significant eBike OEM: https://www.paselecbikes.com/ They made my bike, and while I am only a month or so into this journey, I love the bike. Looks...

MC helmet with eBike when I am on busy streets

One of my paths is a pretty busy main road in town. If I get clipped, it will be a bad day. I have been wearing an old MC helmet of mine when taking that path. It's not a particularly big helmet, not down to chin, but it is a full, DOT, MC helmet. I imagine I might look a little odd to...

Commuter question - Middle of hot summer - what if it stays out in the shade?

I know it's not good for an eBike to bake in the sun. But, what if I parked it for the day, and it was under some canopy for shade? Would the bike be ok in that case, or no?

How fast is too fast for you?

I'm a former motorcycle rider, but, 30 mph is about it for me on an ebike. Plus, I have learned, I enjoy the ebike much more at a Slower speed. More enjoyable, more exercise, more battery life. I started out cruising near 20 to 25 often, but I'm down to about a 12 mph average now. Much...

Well, as I continue to ride, I perceive some improvements in leg strength and aerobic ability, but - my butt still really hurts. I think I can do some longer rides now. Well my legs and heart can. But, my butt keeps complainin.

Going to document my weight loss

I was much lighter pre covid. When covid hit, me and my wife reacted with frequent wine and food, and I got very heavy. Which then leads to - not wanting to move. I believe this journey can help me get that weight off.

Is there an Amazon of EBike parts?

Those parts comments are encouraging. Would you know if they are accurate for the Lectric-type bikes? Comments I read were from a Lectric owner, and my bike is basically that design with some small improvements. Will definitely be Sliming the tubes soon. Have the bottle ready to go.

Not riding again until I install mirrors

I have to confess that I cheaped out with my first set of mirrors, and I will eventually have to replace. Mine are the circular type, and I am finding it a challenge to get a proper view out of them. Need something wider.

Is there an Amazon of EBike parts?

Is there a known, very good online retailer for eBike parts? Yes, I bought low end, and yes, I will be responsible now for repairs. [It was the only way I could afford getting into this.] I have seen some online Facebook posts spooking me about people taking a long time hunting down parts...

Construction of the battery units - wouldn't it have made sense to make cells replaceable?

I don't pretend to know anything about this, so those of you much more in the know - please be gentle. :) It's my assumption that inside these battery units, it is all hard wired and soldered. If that is true, wouldn't it have made sense to make these units more like a consumer electronic...

Slowly figuring it out - slow down, stop touching the throttle

I'm getting substantially more out of the battery now that I have slowed it down and left the throttle behind. Very pleasing. Was previously a little underwhelmed about what I was observing with battery use, but now I take a nice ride and barely use any power. Beautiful.

Slowly figuring it out - slow down, stop touching the throttle

I came to a conclusion during today's ride - I was going too fast. I was enjoying the ride too much, hitting the throttle to maintain a fairly quick speed. Today, I decided to slow it down, keep the assist on, but, keep my hands off the throttle. I enjoyed the ride a whole lot, got more...
