Why do I buy stuff with ZERO support?

I was contemplating a purchase for quite some time. And I really wasn't interested with dealing with a company that wasn't in the U.S. There Are some companies that sell the stuff from China - but offer you some reasonable level of support. That's how I approached it. The company I have...

The weakest link for me: the chargers

Everything I read tells me otherwise. And if these chargers don't shut off, there Has to be danger with over charging.

The weakest link for me: the chargers

You can see my bike type in my avatar and sig. I love it. But the weakest link for me is: these chargers. I know I bought low end, but I would have gladly paid another 50 dollars to have a Smart charger. Everything I read tells me I should aspire to keep my battery between about 80% down...

What do you HATE about your fat tires?

I only read the first page so far, but I will read the rest. I'm not getting it yet. I'm a rookie to ebikes, but, I have logged many thousands of miles on motorcycles. I have a fat tire bike. I have no intention of taking it in the dirt. All the time will be on streets. I love the way it...

First charge - charger got pretty hot

Did my first charge today. Definitely didn't over charge it. Went from 47 to 50 volts over 90 minutes. Charger felt pretty hot. I could touch it, but, it was very warm. Normal or problem?

Contemplating commuting: can I keep my ebike in the sunlight and heat all day?

My ebike is a fat tire, mountain bike style, foldable. Similar to Lectric XP and Engwe EP. I'm preparing to use it for commuting. Will be about 7 miles a day - 3.5 each way. [Last year, I traded my 112 mile a day work commute for a 7 mile one. :) ] Weather is cool and mild at this...

New rider confession: my butt hurts

I'm new to all this, and I have logged a whopping 12 miles. :) Having a ton of fun. Most negative aspect so far is - my butt. It hurts when I am riding. Background - short, old guy, significantly overweight, about to cross over the threshold of 6 decades. I don't think it is my bike...

    World War III

I didn't read the whole thread yet. But, I consider these times scary times. What we see on the news from Ukraine is so, so sad. And the potential here for something bigger is currently laying dormant, but, can blow, changing all our lives.

    Tubes & Tires - Where/what to purchase

I am brand new to it all. Literally, today was day 2 on my new bike. I have a VX2 that is essentially a clone of a Lectric. I just looked up tubes today, too, because I don't want to lose time this spring being down because I didn't have tubes. I found some Mongoose 20x4 tubes on Amazon that...

    New to E-Bikes

I'm an older guy just discovering e-bikes. I just purchased a bike similar to a Lectric or Engwe. Just completed my second ride - for a total of 12 miles now. :) I think this is going to make for a fun and healthy spring, summer, and fall. I am finding I am enjoying watching, not the...
