my 2020 is class 3 but also has a sticker in the zip case class 1. if i could find another 2020 5.0 i'd buy it. never been on a more comfortable bike. plus i can't get to liking the new como design

you need a different geometry bike or smaller frame. you can add and change things but i don't think thats going to change your pain.

como bars have cables integrated inside. not likely easy to change

these bikes just hit the market. parts are a long way off

i had a SL for 2 weeks. once i rode the normal como 4x i got the como 5.0 . lighter weight is ok but the speed is what changed my mind. the extra weight isn't noticeable

i've had a como 5.0 for a couple years and think its perfect for me but looking at the 2022 como i thinks its a disaster poorly designed. doesn't have the same geometry and doesn't look good for comfortable long rides

personally i think the 2022 como is a mistake in design

specialized has been short on parts for years.

you're not going to find much if anything E in your price range. i've seen electric conversions on tiktok but they were in asia and who knows if they would work or available or even parts i think most mountain Ebikes are rated by time instead miles. most non-name brand have inferior E setups.

replace the tire and tube doesn't cost that much. some tires have kevlar that might help in the future

i read all the time the most towed cars are electric...buyer beware

don't know what specialized is thinking with the new design como but by the specs it isn't a comfort bike any more. longer reach and a more sporty smaller seat. in my case small seats are not comfortable. hope my '21 5.0 lasts a long time. have a '21 4.0 too just in case...

non SL much faster despite being heavier. many who have ridden both buy the non SL.

sl are nice but once you ride the regular 4x you you won't want an SL. specialized up'd the game with como 4.0 and dropped the 5.0
