    Rip Current Woes

That's an average of 70 new support tickets every day. With that volume, can understand how they could be overwhelmed with warranty/service claims.

    Rip Current Woes

Looking at the support ticket numbering, I presume they are sequential. So, in a matter of a few days, Juiced had 1170 new tickets to deal with? Hmmm.

US proposes 25% tariffs on Chinese ebikes

? Airlines are a poor example of a free and competitive market. Mergers have effectively eliminated domestic competition in the last decade (United/Continental, American/USAirways, Delta/Northwest) - and profits have exploded regardless of price of fuel. The airlines have made more money in...

Went with some Vee's Speedster street friendly tires and it's been flat city ever since!

Are they tubeless ready? Might be worth a shot. Check out this new tire insert - claim 1 hr run flat capability

    Why do we ebike?

Fun is easily #1 for me. Should be it's own category. All the others are distant seconds.

    2018 Easy Motion EVO Updates

Court, nice overview. Always liked BH/EasyMotion products. Have you reviewed the new Atom X Lynx 5/6 Plus Pro emtbs yet? Impressive specs. 720wh battery using 21700 cells.

US proposes 25% tariffs on Chinese ebikes

Agreed. There's zero point zero chance the tariffs will stimulate ebike production in the US. Chinese manufacturers are notorious for playing tariff whack-a-mole. They'll just move to another country. Very easy to avoid tariffs, especially since all it requires is some relatively low-tech...

Xiaomi’s new $261 electric bicycle prepares to turn the ebike industry on its head

https://electrek.co/2018/06/21/xiaomis-new-electric-bicycle-himo/amp/ 36v 220wh battery w/250w motor. 37lbs. All internal wiring and lights powered by the battery. $261 is essentially a disposable bike.

US proposes 25% tariffs on Chinese ebikes

This is foolish policy. All it does it does is create manufacturing whack-a-mole to evade tariffs. Chinese companies will simply move to lower cost countries (lower-wage Vietnam already has a nacent ebike industry for this exact reason). The blame is squarely on the backs of US consumers...

The FLX Blade - Solid FUN!

Have you watched Casey Neistat's video of stealing his own bike and how nobody gave a damn, even across the street from the Police station? Finally, only when he was using a grinder next to a crowded subway entrance in Union Square did the cops finally notice.

Experienced cyclist looking to buy his first electric bike-could use some advice...

Battery capacity and weight have more to do with range than motor. Brose also makes nice (quiet) mid-motors. Check out Bulls' lineup. You're likely interested in their eSpeed or urban bikes (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) Some come with 650wh batteries, which should get you the range you want

Biktrix: An 8-month journey into delays, empty promises, and outright lies

The bike in question is the Ultra FS (OP upgraded after returning the first damaged bike). Specs indeed still show hydraulic discs: Brake levers | TEKTRO Hydraulic disc Front Brake | TEKTRO 4 piston Hydraulic DISC BRAKE-180mm Rear Brake | TEKTRO 4 piston Hydraulic DISC BRAKE-180mm I hope your...

Biktrix: An 8-month journey into delays, empty promises, and outright lies

Lol, perfect description for Roshan is a used car salesman - my experience exactly - will tell you anything to make the sale. Cannot believe anything the guy says. Love how he conveniently rewrites history with his original "late Feb" delivery suddenly became March/April in this post (which in...

    What's the market for 5k+ e-mtbs ?

1hr drive isn't bad - you've got the Autobahn. $5K isn't surprising for nicer emtbs. They seem to price about $1.5K above their non-motorized brethren. Does anyone pay attention to the supposed ban on Federal lands? Can't imagine anyone would - at least if you've got a higher-end emtb...

frustrated rant: the more i learn the more i cant find an ebike

I have rarely heard anyone mention problems with moisture - it's certainly not a common complaint - hear more about dirt/grime preventing blades on battery terminals contacting tightly. If it were a big problem, there would be an avalanche of complaints and dissatisfied customers. Think the...

    Voltbike customer support

Roshan may answer - some - email (you need to send multiple emails to pin him down). Regardless, simply can't trust much of what he says. "Next week" to him can mean months in the real world. His delivery estimates are nothing but wishful thinking (I'm being charitable). In late January I...

    What I learned today

Check out Evelo bikes - they are HQ in Seattle. Think you might like their newer models. Powerful mid motor, throttle and Nuvinci hubs, fantastic 4 yr warranty which includes the battery (almost everyone else only warranties batteries for 1yr).

    Proud new Owner

Nice bike. Very similar to my (now cancelled) order, except for the paint. I hope you don't really expect to get (or need) delivery by mid July. Roshan cannot be trusted with his delivery promises. His "late Feb" bikes are just now being delivered - 3+ months late...and a month after he -...
