    Standover height for 22" frame

I'm 6'2" and on a large ST1. Swapped out the stem to a 13cm and added a seatpost with much more setback to address the steep seat tube angle. Fits me just fine. Tai

    Gocycle G3 user review

I sent an inquiry to Gocycle about battery life and the LEDs not dropping consistently, aso well aso a link to this review with my other concerns. Wanted to update my review with their response. I was informed that the battery life I am experiencing is as it should be. Given that I am a larger...

    Gocycle GS on Kickstarter

Looks great! Awesome that consumers can get into the Gocycle platform for under $2k! Hope you get the support you need to take the company to the next level. Tai

    Gocycle G3 user review

I should also note that the Battery Management System is a bit wonky. There are 10 LED that are supposed to be 10% of battery power each, but it doesn't quite work out that way. The first 50% of mileage typically only results in two LEDs going out, then it drops VERY quickly through the next 6...

    Gocycle G3 user review

Yes...I'm almost 200 lbs and live in very hilly Seattle. With the app, you can set how much power kicks in relative to how much power you're putting out. I've got it set up in Custom mode to be less motor power so it's a bit more challenging to get uphill, but I'm sure the bike can handle it...

    Brooks Saddle

25mm was the most I could find in non-suspended. Body float is a bit more IIRC. I'm using a Truvativ Stylo T20...found it used and cheap on eBay. I want to say the stock post wasn't more than 10-15mm. The clamp head was rubbish too...seat always slid back because of the curved clamp head. Tai

    Brooks Saddle

I'd stay away from Brooks leather saddles on a Stromer. The ST1 already has a very steep seat tube angle and I had to get another seatpost with a lot more setback plus run my saddle as far back as possible in order to get my position dialed in. Brooks tends to run with the saddle rail range...

    Gocycle G3 user review

I got lucky a couple weeks ago and found the latest generation Gocycle G3 on local craigslist for well below the MSRP. The seller had won the item as a raffle prize, but had no interest in keeping it. I had heavily researched the Gocycle G2 when I was buying my Stromer ST1 limited edition and...

    Seat post security

I use a Hope 38.5 clamp on my ST1. Agreed that the stock QR is ridiculous when everything else on the bike is bolted down. Tai

    GoCycle? Any Experiences

I just got a G3 and have been shaking it down. Supposedly has a 50 mile range, but I'm only getting 22 miles. I'm 6'2" 200 lbs and running it on the custom setting with a limit up to 25 mph. Nice bike for zipping around. Folding isn't quick. Can't carry too much stuff...I use a Swift...

Stromer ST1 Platinum Larger ring size?

Platinum is spec'ed with a 50/39/30 triple. It looks like a 130 BCD crankset. I suspect you could probably find a Shimano 6503 crankset and salvaged the rings for pretty cheap. They came in 52/42/30 configurations that should swap right. You'd need to raise the FD a smidge probably. If...

    DIY Chain guide

Too soon to tell. Will need to take it through some road construction areas (Seattle has plenty) with big bumps going over steel plates, which have been the main source of the chain falling off. It feels pretty solid though. If I don't report back, then it is doing the job. Will respond if...

The fenders themselves actually don't have much clearance...the flaps sit further off the wheel than the fenders do. Tai

It's a plastic flap cut out of the bottle, so it won't get soggy. The lower flap folds up and stows away when it isn't raining.

    DIY Chain guide

I've had the chain fall off a few times and was looking for some sort of chain-guide solution. Ended up just making one myself out of some thick steel wire salvaged from a collapsible laundry basket, old inner tube, and a heavy duty zip-tie. I bent the steel wire to the shape I wanted, wrapped...

Post pics of your Stromer here

Have had my ST1 limited edition for just over a month and finally got it all dialed in. Put over 400 miles on it so far and absolutely love it. I made some mudflaps out of tide detergent bottles...the orange goes nicely with the blue.
