    Specs for Handlebar Stem Replacement

Yes, I see that in the manual - 15mm spacers max. Interesting. I purchased from a Specialized dealer. I'll ask him next time I'm in the shop. From my perspective, all I can say is it feels fine. So far I've taken this up to 44mph on a wicked downhill and everything felt just fine! :)

No prob. Do you have any experience with FS 1.5? Any idea how I pop that cap off? Thanks!

    Creo Through Axles

My Creo does not have a cam. It's different than any Quick Release I've ever had. I'm wondering whether it is in fact a true QR or whether it is simply a bolt with a lever that allows it to be manipulated without an Allen wrench. Hmm... Wouldn't the rotation of the axle at least work in favor...

    Creo Through Axles

I'm surprised to hear this. The axles on the Creo are billed as "quick release". Meaning they're supposed to come off by hand and remount by hand. I'd do this in any number of situations; a field repair of a flat, or taking the wheel off to pop the bike into the back of my SUV and then inserting...

    Specs for Handlebar Stem Replacement

I think your instructions are for an adjustable Future Shock? Mine is not adjustable. Just a flat cap, pretty much flush with the top of the stem mount. I'm not sure I understand figure 10.10. Is this finger-loosened after the stem is loosened? And then finger-tightened before the stem is...

    Specs for Handlebar Stem Replacement

But I think it must be shimmed because I measured the circumference of the stem mount with a caliper; 31.98mm which is exactly the same as my other bike - it's a Motobecane with a standard stem. It's not 100% proof positive because the Specialized stem mount might have thicker walls, but that...

    Specs for Handlebar Stem Replacement

Oops! Thank you for posting. I had no idea. I thought it was going to be standard. I will look for that shim. Where can I get that shim if I will need it? Also, how do I get the compression cap (is that what it's called?) off the top of the steering tube? The last time I did this with a...

    Locking the Creo Motor

So Mission Control for Creo doesn't have a lock function, but I thought of something creative. Here's a tip. Create a profile called Locked. Then set each turbo assist level to 0% - 10%. When you duck in for a Gatorade, set the Mission Control profile to Locked. No one is going to get very far...

    Creo Through Axles

I had a similar experience. I bought my Creo back to the dealer after about 50 miles to get a few things tuned up and the first thing he said to me was "your front wheel is loose". And he was right. Now, I remember tightening the axle, but obviously not enough. So what's the rule of thumb? How...

Interesting. My dealer delivered the bike to me with 5 spacers. It feels fine!

    Specs for Handlebar Stem Replacement

Yes, it's in the +6 position. I want some more elevation. I ordered the Ritchey 90mm (same length) with 30 degrees elevation. I hope to install that this week. When I get it installed I'll post pics and let you know how the steering feels. I appreciate the education I got with regard to stem...

Can I charge three batteries (Creo main plus two extenders) simultaneously with two Y cables?

I would have thought that my reaching out to Specialized to clarify the point, and reposting their advice here, would have made it abundantly clear that I am not trying to "reinvent the wheel". Just seeking information, and accepting the information as provided. In case it has not been made...

Can I charge three batteries (Creo main plus two extenders) simultaneously with two Y cables?

And finally - I asked if there is any issue when charging up different batteries at different depletion levels:

Can I charge three batteries (Creo main plus two extenders) simultaneously with two Y cables?

Here is the answer I received from Specialized:

Can I charge three batteries (Creo main plus two extenders) simultaneously with two Y cables?

It's more for the convenience factor. So if I'm on a long-distance road trip, I can charge all three batteries simultaneously without having to lug 2 chargers along and without having to get up in the middle of the night to swap batteries. I want to wake up in the morning with all three...

Can I charge three batteries (Creo main plus two extenders) simultaneously with two Y cables?

Aren't all these factors just as relevant with 2 batteries as with 3? Are you saying I can't use the Y cable in its standard configuration (for 2 batteries) if my main battery is 25% down and the RE is 90% down? Or vice versa?

Can I charge three batteries (Creo main plus two extenders) simultaneously with two Y cables?

I submitted an inquiry on the Specialized site. I'll post back here when I get a reply.

    Specs for Handlebar Stem Replacement

You guys are scaring me away from the adjustables! I should probably thank you for that, but we'll never know. (Risk management is a thankless job! ;-) My bike shop maxed out the spacers for me. Anyone know where I can find a 45 degree (or more) rise? Ritchey preferred, but I'd consider any...
