Rad Rover Tricks and Big Fails Video! A Must See.

Insane! Video confirmation why this might not be such a good idea, imho. Hope your wounds gently heal, woodsusa. My partner was going down a hill trail when the back wheel lost traction on loose rocks. Her bruises are almost healed a month later after she fell with the bike landing on top of...

Motorcycle Carrier instead of Bike Rack?

thanks Vincent, I'll make sure to secure the pedals with a strap. in fact, I'm loading up the bikes soon for an excursion up a beautiful mtn road in a nearby valley, perhaps with a foto or two. :)

    RadCity 16 or 20?

I'm 5'8" and certainly would prefer the 16" frame myself. My partner and I both have radrovers. She's about 6 foot. We got a raised handlebar and it fits her a little better. Have fun pedal assisted rides :)

    RadCity 16 or 20?

Riding that bbshd giant on trails & single track? I'm thinking of adding that motor to my mtn bike for some fun trail rides. For now, the radrover is great fun with its fat tires on the roads & packed trails :)

    hello from washington state!

Looks like a beautiful place to explore on that new bike. Nice fender setup, too! I'm sure WA has lots of adventures in nature awaiting. Here in CA I have many rural places to explore. Today got caught in a downpour. Glad I used dielectric grease on all the rover's wiring. A few days ago went...

New tires and rotating tires on Rad Rover

I'm aware of bmx-ers who've gone tubeless on them, with 20" rims. I'd be interested in knowing if someone has success on 26" x 4 rims. They seem to need a tube to push them out wide against the rim. With conti downhill tubes I'm enjoying hookworms on the city streets :)

X Shifter and Maker Battery - Kickstarter

What a great idea, pre-made diy battery kits! Also that batteries could be designed for other home uses. I'm curious what the cost of these kits would be if the kickstarter succeeds. What savings over cost of available batteries from Luna and other vendors?

Cleaning sand and dirt off a fat tire bike

Great cleaning & lube ideas, thanks! Not having room in the house or carport for bikes, mine are kept in a covered patio area. To keep water & dust off my parked ebikes I'm having success with these bike covers. My partner often brings hers to work to cover bike from rain or mist. They seem well...

    hey guys

Both my partner & I both have radrovers. They are great fun and work well here in Calif. Works well on roads & packed trails, sand & snow. Their company is putting out a city commuter next month. While I think rad puts out a a high value, budget bike, there are many options out there now. I've...

Motorcycle Carrier instead of Bike Rack?

Went with the 1upUSA Double Bicycle Super Duty Quik Rack with fat tire spacers. Very well built, easy on/off, holds bikes quite secure just with the locking arms. I used a couple straps to boost my confidence on a 4 hour journey. Here's a picture of a couple of radrovers taking a ride:

    Kit vs Purpose Built

E-bikes can be a lot of fun. DIY experience varies with bike expertise. Perhaps taking some test rides, if it's possible, nearby. Many ready-made bikes are not much more than DIY these days. When bikes arrive in the mail many find they need to do a bit of tuning them up or even replacing damaged...

What's your farthest ride on your Radrover?

Wonderful observation, that mileage varies with temp, charge, pedalling efforts, and so on. I'm happy when the battery is there for me when the rad gets to a hill. A spare battery on a long excursion is not a bad idea :)

    Radrover fenders

Yes, those full fenders did look nice. I recall they were aftermarket, though I don't recall the brand. I'm using mucky nutz fat gut front fender to supplement the rad's shorter fender, to stay dry when the ground is wet.

Skunk Lock: a new kind of protection

It does make me feel queasy, also! But having had a couple nice bikes stolen last year, I can understand the negative feelings people have towards thieves :D

2016 Radrover just stopped after 4 miles??

My partner's and my Radrovers are great fun & work great. There were a few problems when they arrived but the customer service resolved the issues in a timely manner. If there was a lbs that sold ebikes I would have shopped their first, but that was not an option for me. Like totalnovice...

Skunk Lock: a new kind of protection

Just read about this new crowdfunded lock that offers a smelly deterrent to would be bike thieves. Anyone tried it yet, even though it's not officially released? Guess it can smell bad & might have to jump some legal hurdles. Read more at the Guardian...
