How to start on a steep hill

You were very easily derailed. I’ve not had a problem getting up a hill nor do I need or want a throttle.

Switching to the Allant + 7S

Only real concern is cable length. Make sure they aren’t pulled when the riser is added. Your LBS could add length I guess.

    Simple Trek/Bosch battery strategy

I’ve found a gentle hand works for me, especially since I have 4 batteries that will fit in 3 ebikes.👍

    Simple Trek/Bosch battery strategy

Hmm, seems to be the same as mine up until the end where you can’t remove the key. I’d call your lbs or take it in for an adjustment.

    Simple Trek/Bosch battery strategy

Yes. It’s better for the battery to be stuck in than to fall out, of course. I never had any problem getting the battery in. It only took my Trek guy an hour to get the battery out and make it work perfectly after that. As for the key, I had a similar issue with the key to my Rail 5. I took a...

Advantages of a 2nd battery vs Range Boost on Domane+ and other models?

Can’t speak “real world” but can tell you that, the way I’m doing it on my Allant+7 is this Stasher top tube bag. Not sure it would work on a Domane. That’s their largest bag with some mods and a PowerTube fits just right. The other issue is the RB is aesthetically less desirable IMO. Best of luck!

    Simple Trek/Bosch battery strategy

The 625 is a clearly heavier battery than the PowerTube 500 so I would guess it’s closer to the same weight as the Range Booster. I’d guess you won’t need that second battery very often but YMMV.

    Simple Trek/Bosch battery strategy

To the best of my knowledge, the 625 is perfectly compatible with all the Allant+7 models and my Rail 5. I think the only Trek ebike made presently that is not compatible is the Domane models but I’m not sure. The 500 is shorter but has a 4-5” spacer to make it the size it needs to be to fit in...

How to start on a steep hill

I have three but that’s not my point. If it’s such a hot rod, why is it so difficult to get started? I don’t have that problem I guess. i do think Walk mode is an interesting idea to get moving but I’m not sure how good that method would be for the drive train.

    Sondors mid-drive price increases

Fortunately, I don’t have to wait. I certainly did for the 625 battery (9 months!) though it was the same price I was originally quoted.

No increases with Trek ebikes that I’ve seen.

7 Problems in 14 Days Ownership: 2021 Trek Domane HP Electrical Bike You Should Avoid At All Cost

    Loving my Domane+ HP

A Domane is what I’d get if I gave up either my Rail 5 or my Allant+7. Only real problem is I’d be more likely to ride in traffic!😳

Who is transporting their ebikes standing up inside a truck bed under topper?

Great setup. For your set up it’s perfect. I just really don’t want to remove front tires all the time.
