    Hi fromChicago

I have been riding my Trek since November and have ridden 4000 miles. I carry two extra batteries in a seatpost mounted bag and regularly ride 60 to 70 miles with a couple of thousand feet of gain. About 50% using tour and sport modes averaging 18 to 25 mph on a mix of good bike paths and city...

    Free tuning method.

I tried the free method suggested here on my Bosch performance speed motor and it worked but I was getting an error 503 (speed sensor error) and the motor would cut out. Turning it off and on would get it back and this worked for a few rides until it would not clear the error for several miles...

Powerfly 5 FS - Any opinions

I have been riding a Trek XM 700+ since November and have about 3500 miles. The range estimate is based on the last so many miles and is just that, an estimate. Pay attention to the 5 bars on the battery. I get about 35 to 40 miles on a 400 wh battery and a bit more on the 500, while riding in...

    Exercising on an ebike.

I have ridden road bikes for many years, I have 100,000 miles from 2005 to 20015. No racing just fast cycling club rides. I use a Heart rate monitor to track how hard I am working based on my maximum HR. Those numbers are the same no matter what bike I am riding Now I ride a Trek XM700+ and my...

    Need help choosing a group ride/commuter e-bike

I love my Trek XM 700+! I carry an extra battery and a charger in a floating seatpost rack to increase my range. The bike is $3500, a bit more than you want to spend, but it will easily do a 30 mile round trip with you soft pedaling.

    Range: Fact vs. Fiction

I rode 71 miles using two batteries this past XMAS. Here is a link to my ride. The harder I work the more range I can get. https://www.strava.com/activities/811296956

    Upgrades to my XM700+

Here is a picture of my XM 700 which I am really enjoying. I am riding with my road bike friends doing a couple hundred miles a week. I have dropped my chain off the front chainring a few times and it is challenging to get it back on because of the guard. I am considering losing the guard as I...

    Looking for extended Range

I ride a Trek XM 700+ and routinely do 60 miles with 2500 feet of climbing by carrying a second battery in a seat post mounted bag. I also carry my charger.

Christmas in August - Just got my XM700+

I have been riding my Trek for about 800 miles carrying an extra battery and charger with me. At the break in the ride I immediately swap batteries and charge the used one for about 30 to 40 minutes which is how long our groups break for. I have done a 75 mile ride with 2800 feet of climbing.
