    Excuses to Ride

That’s a great point and a great topic JS! Here’s a kicker, the CVS I went to that has a great bike route, also did not only NOT have bike racks, but also nothing to lock my bike to, so I walked my bike inside! Now the other CVS that had horrific sidewalks on the route that I’ll NEVER travel...

    Excuses to Ride

Agree with that all the way! Fortunately two of the 3 busy roads near me have decent sidewalks. One road has sidewalks on both sides, the other just one side. Whenever a route requires either one of those roads I ALWAYS choose the sidewalk option and if I encounter someone walking or riding...

    Excuses to Ride

Thanks for the post Jed! I would NEVER ride on a road like that without sidewalks! Why? Because my Queen forbids it, and the obvious danger! I would like to comment on the sidewalk subject! We have two CVS Pharmacies near us. I went to one of them with no route issues. I decided to try...

    Rotor Cleaning

I don’t know enough to take the back wheel off and then tweak it back on correctly. I do like the video instructions tell and put rubbing alcohol on a clean washcloth and wipe the rotors down, CAREFULLY, while ON the bike.😉

    Rotor Cleaning

A CLEAN washcloth I might add!

    Rotor Cleaning

I use alcoholic dabbed onto an old washcloth and wipe the rotors! Probably the safest way to prevent the above happening.

    Rotor Cleaning

Here’s something interesting I’ve found riding my daily exercise route in a flat environment, all side streets with little traffic, about a 25 minute, 6 mile route, I’ve ridden the route enough now that if I use the speed timing is right, and the PAS correctly, the only time I have to use the...

How often do you clean rotors and what do you use? I use mineral spirits.

    Cycling Shorts?

Ok, you’ve talked me into trying a pair!

    Cycling Shorts?

After reading all these responses I feel like I probably don’t ‘need’ the cycling shorts/underwear, but I’m also curious to try a pair. My dilemma is, I’ll probably buy and try a pair and then come to the conclusion I’ll need 7 pair because once the weather breaks I see myself riding everyday...

    Excuses to Ride

It’s flat as a pancake here which is good but we also have 2 very busy streets with no sidewalks or bike paths that would be very dangerous to ride which I don’t. That limits where I can go as far as stores go which is why I have a 5 mile route I ride everyday unless I have an errand to run.

    Excuses to Ride

Even though it’s still in that brutal heat/humidity season here in SW FL, I still jump at opportunities/excuses to ride above and beyond, or in lieu of, my early morning exercise route! I’ve gone to the store twice for my wife to pick up small items that will fit in my removable handlebar...

    Lectric Step-Thru Comfort Package?

So if I wanted to swap the Lectric stock seat with another, I can disconnect the seat from the post?

    Lectric Step-Thru Comfort Package?

I’ve tried the Cloud 9 seat on my Denago, but the way the Denago post was designed, the Cloud 9 could only be installed one way and there was no way to adjust the seat forward or backwards and it kept drawing me forward toward the handlebars! Is it possible to take the Lectric seat off the pole...
