Question - the person you borrowed the console from - could they lend you their 'mount' as well? The mount if I recall should connect to your battery/battery mount - does mean taking their mount off their handlebar but that's only a screw or two. Just a thought?

Funny enough I do take that bag on trails - but just rail trails that are mostly flat/straight. having the battery at the bottom of the bag with bottles on top worked well for me. But yes, no single track or rocky trail riding with a battery in a bag - that's where the mounts you suggested...

You are correct - the bikes sold here are Class 3 hardware/specs but locked down to the magical 32kmph/20mph limit. Hopefully we will follow the countries that allow 28mph/45kmph someday and update our laws and regulations to match.

I too wear spandex riding shorts (not full bib, not the jersey) as well for all the improved riding reasons and to prevent 'plumbers butt' from occurring. I speak of those who simply must wear a full Bib and jersey to even consider throwing their leg over a bike. :D :cool:
