Vado SL 4.0 sometimes won't turn on

Yes, the Creo also turns itself off after maybe 15 minutes or so. I'm occasionally surprised when I get back on and there NO POWER!

Mission Control no longer provides elevation gain/loss.

It worked fine for about two years. The Creo is paired with the Garmin Edge 1030+ and with my Pixel 6 Pro. This happened a bit ago and I don't know why it no longer captures elevation from the phone. But Gaia reports gain/loss on bike rides and on a recent hike so the phone has that data...

    Pairing issue, maybe?

I had that about a month ago. I still don't know what caused it. I finally UNpaired and then, of course, needed the hidden pairing code. It was a pain but eventually did connect. Good luck.

Any experiences removing Creo internal battery and riding only with Extender?

It sounds as if our State was most welcoming for this grand adventure. Some very nice hilly terrain as well as level cruising in the mix. And the ferries were reliable for a change!!! If I might seek some clarification - what was the reason to remove the future shock? Just to simplify...

    Creo Road Remotes

I've used "spiral hair ties" for wrap wires together. You snip the loop and it becomes a rubbery spring Something like these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN25BY87?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Where was BROTHER? Oh, now I realize he was your support person and not riding. That's how you had a spare light-weight bike! I can be slow especially even reading about a L O N G R I D E!

Consequences of chain ring size changes on my Creo

IT IS NOT, you evil villain, you. ;) Now I'm heading to the store to buy the fixings for Oxtail Stew to comfort me on this predicted rainy weekend. Of course, no one has seen an Ox since Babe the Blue Ox. But cow will do!

Consequences of chain ring size changes on my Creo

Mine is in the shop as we "type!" Going with the 38 and a new chain. Yah - no more Wave Tech to match chain links and teeth position. While there they are replacing some cables and will be updating firmware on the bike, main battery and two range extenders. They also claim I never had a full...

Consequences of chain ring size changes on my Creo

Thanks And, no, you did not provide too much info. I've changed flats. Much beyond that is left to the nuclear engineers :)

You make Everett look nice! ;) I do love the Schack Gallery. You did not get any shots of the homes/buildings on stilts along the River on the ride to/from Lowell. But your pictures do give me a reason to take the bus up to Everett from Greenlake and pedal one of the various routes back...

Consequences of chain ring size changes on my Creo

Are you sure about that - what with stinky water 🤪 - I remember it after MANY, MANY decades away from that side of the country... ;) Ignore the last image in this collage which Google tossed in with the local shots - the last image is Iceland! But back to hill climbing... Yes, that's...

Consequences of chain ring size changes on my Creo

Thanks for the reply. Oh, so a move to the 40 would be too close to the 42 and no chain length adjustment would be possible. Whereas going to the 38 would allow links to be removed to tighten the chain????

Consequences of chain ring size changes on my Creo

I've got the Aluminum Creo. I believe it is stock with a 42 inch chain ring. It is that WAVE Tech that needs the chain links to be aligned with inner/outer tooth pattern. Since I've had chain jumping off issues recently I decided it might finally be time to dump that "technology". Since I...

We call it "chip seal" and they lay down a thin coat of asphalt (or maybe just oil) and toss gravel allowing cars and traffic to blend the two but leaving bikes with waves of this loose crap along the shoulders. Real fun on bikes, particularly narrower road bike tires.

I did my usual 23 mile urban loop through some of its less urban views. With a start near Greenlake and then on to and through the Ship Canal, Discovery Park, Smith Cove Park, Myrtle Edwards Park and Seattle Center. "June Gloom" in all of its cloudy glory. Somehow, between Burlington...
