    Can we change the culture?

Yet another reason to add an unlocker to your bike to uncork its top speed to 28+ !! I am trying to put off doing this, and so far I am fine with 20. But when asked me why I needed a higher top speed, I shall refer to this thread and say 'To outrun that crazy biker who was yelling at me to slow...

How do you meet MTB buddys?

@J.R. - hey neighbor !!! Very well said, and I have nothing to add to your statement other than a nod of approval. We are blessed in the southcentral PA region to have a multitude of riding areas of different types within an hours drive in every direction. I started riding every weekend last...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

@Rakku- So glad to hear it worked out for you. I spent a few days tracking down an elusive Hardseven 6.0 until I finally gave up and moved on to the FullNine 6.0. It cost me an extra $400, but it also gave me the ability to comfortably ride rough trails if I want to. Your saving grace was that...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

@DanInStPete - 55cm @JayVee - thanks for the info. I don't quite understand how the Bikespeed works, nor am I seasoned enough to be aware of my cadence, but hopefully I learn as I go here. It's just nice to know I have extended my capable range dramatically. I was probably good for 20 miles on...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

Got it today, was able to assemble it without any issues, but I could NOT for the life of me figure out how to get the handlebars mounted !! Last bike I bought was in '96 but I have never had my handlebars off. Turns out there is a hard plastic ring around the top of the stem, and once I figured...

Could This Be The Best Bike Rack Bag Ever Invented?

I bought one - surprised at its weight actually - opened it up to find a completely disassembled Stromer ST2 ! After 2 hours, I had the bike fully assembled only to find out it didn't fit on the rear rack of the Stromer. So I sent it back and left a negative review on Amazon for false...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

:D Dan, no entries disappeared that I'm aware of. I sent you a PM to start a conversation, so it doesn't show in this thread as a comment. I think that is what you aren't seeing. I generally make it a rule to not discuss pricing in the open forums, and it's standard forum practice to keep...

    Front fender pet peeve.

^^ Those look like SKS fenders if I am not mistaken. I wasn't sure how I'd like a tight fender on an FS mountain bike, but that really looks better than I anticipated. Very well done !

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

I stand corrected. I wonder if its just the Trekking that offers the 500w, as I know that the FullNine 5.0 only uses the 400w. It's a great bargain at $1,999, but you do lose the RockShox Reba and 500w battery for a Suntour and the 400w battery.

Video and Editorial: Unboxing And Assembling A Surface 604 Rook

This guy knows how to frame and accentuate his pics !! Gorgeous pics !! I'm not a fan of a step thru but you really made it look attractive.

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

All I can say is, it BETTER be a 29er !! The point to be made about the rear suspension is I believe that you can set it to locked, just like the front fork, so if you really do want to make it a hardtail, you can. Not sure on that - perhaps an owner can chime in. The front fork (Rockshox Reba)...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

Very good points. I myself would've recommended the Trekking as Irish pointed out, simply because it already offers a very nice rear rack and panniers, and with the FullNine I am finding it VERY hard to find a rear rack and panniers that I like. I can safely say you will not find the HardSeven...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

Dan, I also wanted to make you aware of an error on the Haibike USA website, and it shows up in your link as well. I emailed them about it last night, and it is quite confusing if you are researching the bike, but they list the tire size on the website for the FullNine as 27.5" Now if you've...

    Advice on 2017 HardNine 6.0

I bought one a week ago - it arrives Tuesday - otherwise, I would LOVE to give you more input. There aren't any better deals out right now on a mid-drive than the 2017 Haibike lineup. I am somewhat annoyed with that 100rpm limit, but I plan on fixing that real fast with a Bikespeed RS to fix it...

    Controller Replaced on RCS

Nice to get a followup on his issue. Glad he got it resolved. I hate to say it, but I am obsessed with the RCS. I don't check the Juiced page every day like I used to - I moved on at the end of May and bought a bike - but I still want one, no matter how many issues crop up. I am looking at it...

    It's National Trails day !!

National Trails day Now get out there and enjoy a day on the local trail system. It appears to be geared more towards hiking, but since many of our trails are hiking and biking shared trails, I felt it deserved a thread. I am fortunate to live in southcentral PA where we have a lot of abandoned...

Now I just have to wait....

It's life. it's still all good. You aren't alone .. I don't want to bore you with my extremely long, convoluted and full of bad luck tales in my search for a bike (it was bad... I mean ... like cursed existence - maybe 'God doesn't want me to own this' stuff) but I got a shipping notice today...

    Price increase at Juiced Bikes

Factual statement. HELLUVA good deal, STILL !! In fact, when I started shopping for bikes in earnest, it really skews the numbers when you would compare a <insert name of bike market bike here> to a Juiced CCS or RCS, and always come back to the final price, which was ALWAYS in Juiced favor...

    Just got a Shred

Doc, thanks for pointing that out. I have heard mention of it but hadn't researched it at this point. I'm so new to riding that I am really like a sponge - just sucking up whatever information I can get - and have a pretty narrow focus on what appeals to me so far. I have only ridden 2 ebikes so...

    Just got a Shred

I'll do you one better !! How about someone offer a flat cradle display dock that can interface with the handlebar controller for setting the bikes parameters (PAS level, On/Off) but that flat dock will accept your phone ?? Your phone already has music stored on it to play, offers GPS to display...
