    ST2 Motor "Judder"

So I got my ST2 last Friday. I have 105 miles on it so far, and until today was thrilled beyond belief with everything about it. On a ride this afternoon I came to a short, steep hill. I downshifted. I was going about 10 MPH and the bike began vibrating. There was a distinct loss of power...

    First Time Battery Use

I think it was Ravi here or elsewhere who mentioned that the ST2s with the M99 and Omni-C were due to begin showing up in June. I was under the same misunderstanding when I got mine. In automobile marketing in the U.S. the 2018 model year cars began showing up in early fall 2017. I always...

Stormer ST2 Headlight won’t turn off

I noticed yesterday that my brand new ST2 light wouldn't come on. The connector at the handlebars was wiggling loose. A wrap of gaffers tape around the connection stopped the problem. I understand that's a lot easier diagnosis than a light that won't shut off, but I wonder whether there's a...

New Juiced Bike Model: The Scrambler, fat 20" Wheels, Class 3, Double-Seater

I haven't heard of people getting prosecuted, but I know in NY City they are confiscating ebikes by the hundreds in city-wide sweeps. It was in the news last week. I agree there is little risk in a well designed and built ebike, but the arguments against will come from the preconceptions by...

New Juiced Bike Model: The Scrambler, fat 20" Wheels, Class 3, Double-Seater

The motor wattage rating is nonsense as it stands as well. It's not as bad as the nonsense wattage claims by cheap audio products, but there is no absolute standard that all manufacturers adhere to. Stromer used to tout their 500W motor. Now the same motor is listed as 800W in some...

    First Time Battery Use

Thanks Ravi. I’d seen a few of those videos interspersed with others that showed up in a vague search for “Stromer” on YouTube. I’ve now watched ‘em all. Re: suspension seat posts. I spent more than I wanted to on my new bike. I have no regrets, but money is tight. I gambled and bought a...

New Juiced Bike Model: The Scrambler, fat 20" Wheels, Class 3, Double-Seater

Maybe I’m just cynical, but I think it’s only a matter of time before the government starts legislating tougher lawyers regarding ebikes. They’re growing in popularity quickly and are being used for things that lots of riders wouldn’t do with a plain vanilla bike. I have bad arthritis in my...

In the market for an ST1?

There are 45 black ST1s on ebay listed individually by a single seller right now. They're all marked used but in excellent condition. I wonder who is dumping them? It looks like maybe a rental fleet or something. Maybe an obsessive collector who's moved on to something new? :-)

    2018 ST2 question

When I first started shopping for an ST2 I watched a vide from Interbike announcing that the new Omni-C was going to be standard on the 2018 models. I since learned that the early 2018 models still shipped with the original Omni. Are there any other differences between the early and later 2018...

Juiced Support - No more chat?

It's true you can't control the Internet, but you can make sure that people are kept up to speed with what's happening so bad PR doesn't get started in the first place. That's all I was saying.

    First Time Battery Use

I am due to receive my new ST2 tomorrow. Other than assembling it and tweaking it for comfort and charging the battery, are there any tips or tricks a newbie like me ought to know?

Stormer ST2 Headlight won’t turn off

It sounds like the remedy is to replace the switch. Contact the dealer you bought it from, the nearest dealer to you, or Stromer themselves. I don’t believe there is a “secret” headlight-off switch.

Juiced Support - No more chat?

I’m pretty sure the rack or the stays are modified. That’s the first time ever seen a photo of an RCS where the rack is parallel to the ground. Even the promotional shots show it tilted. I have a friend who owns a machine shop and had spoken with him about remaking the front stays to level it...

Juiced Support - No more chat?

All of this is understandable. What isn't understandable is how you guys to let the Internet take control of the story. If Juiced was more communicative- letting buyers know what Juiced knows- the conversation would be very different. Certainly there would still be people griping, but...

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Just a heads-up to folks shopping for accessories for their new ride: The Abus Bordo Granite 6500 lock (the only folding lock to receive a "Gold" rating from solidsecure.com) is on sale for $88.95 at bikeinn.com. The price seems to have come down everywhere, but when I was looking a month or...

Has anyone received their May pre-order?

I'm not sure is selling stuff here is frowned upon, but I have a few things I bought for my RCS that I no longer need, including: Luna 48V advanced charger (charge at 1-5 amps and to 80%, 90% or 100%) with 4-pin XLR adapter cable 2 Vee Speedster 26 X 3.5 street tires Lizzard Skin neoprene fork...

The Tesla of bikes has arrived! Introducing the Lauva e-bike! Now on kickstarter

It's a great looking bike, but current technology allows for either a bike that doesn't look like an ebike, or an obviously electricity-powered bike with significant power and range. Electric motors have been around for over a hundred years, and while new materials and technologies have shrunk...

    Remote eBike diagnostics becomes reality

This was one of the features that sold me on the Stromer ST2 that's being delivered to me this week. I live in a pretty remote area, and the ability to diagnose problems before I even take in to the shop to be worked on is awesome. I can do the "bike" stuff myself. It's the "e" part that is...

A friend said I should have sold it to the highest bidder. I ain’t that guy.
