Back when I rode 'adventure' bikes I did some touring with fairly large rear boxes. I was constantly pulling up to talk to a fellow rider and banging my boxes into his boxes. Took many whacks to get the habit of NOT doing that worked into my grey matter. Edit: Figures CR would take his...

Or carry a pocket knife. EDIT: Most people tie their shoes wrong. After making the first bow or loop don't take the opposing string over the top to create the second loop. This creates what is known as a 'granny knot' and is unstable. Instead take the opposing string UNDER and thru to...

    Fat tire trailers

A little late for conditioning Rio. Old dog new tricks and all that. I don't do tight and twisty. Just rough and rocky. Jeep trails actually. Pulling a trailer with a bike is not much fun. You have to compromise a lot. Like doing u turns. Pretty much have to get off the bike unless you...

    Fat tire trailers

Works well. I've yet to see anything on the market better. There's a guy who works repairing and building forest trails and they have a video about him on the Robert Axle site. He uses a two wheeled trailer and that is something to think about. My dog still won't ride in the dang thing.

New motor: Made in Canada, 2022 Mid-drive system

If it's something akin to the LMX64 back a couple pages I won't be interested. Too much bulky looking machinery. This development will pass me by I think. I love the clean uncluttered look and feel of my Hydra. I've always loved bikes, had several motorcycles. Don't care for motorcycles...

For looks, weight and 'nimbleness' the Hydra of course. For being a truck of a bike, solid rack and tailoring axle, the Frey. I have Wattwagons motors in them both so that's equal.

I wouldn't trade the bikes I have for anything presently available in the price range. I have a Frey AM 1000 and a Wattwagons Hydra. BUT right now, today, if I was shopping with a $5k or less budget I'd be seriously looking at Biketrix.
