    Luna Z1 - First impressions

Makes total sense, frame sizes didn't even cross my mind. Yes, mine is large.

    Luna Z1 - First impressions

Do you just swap two batteries, or are they somehow in parallel? I ordered some ideal diodes from China but order came in incomplete so thinking I might just swap batteries half way through ride. I fipped shock to put valve on top and battery then fits in triangle.. if weight up high become...

    250-300Nm of torque?

Here is metric I want.. how steep a hill can bike start going with a like 200lbs rider with some gear. Purely with motor. Thats both like downside to single speed.. but also up side to having a beefy chain.

    Hydra Batterie Question

Ah one good piece of news.. sent motor in, they got it yesterday, today they called saying they'd changed setting to 48v and serviced motor replacing grease with some synthetic. Didn't mention SHC 100, or any name. I was quite happy to hear that because I had planned to do the same when I got...

    Hydra Batterie Question

Yeah the short story is if you want to to swtich Innotrace controller from 52v to 48v you have to send WattWagons your motor. Its the most rediculous problem. I hope VESC controllers reach parity sooner than later (if they havn't already) and Innotrace can go away. FWIW longer version...

Worth the wait, Hydra is here.

Err another way to say this.. I think I'm not really making use of Ultra motor on these rides. So if you have any intention of actually making use of Ultra motor these numbers are almost unrealistic.

Worth the wait, Hydra is here.

    Got a inline power meter for charging setup so I can monitor ah and wh used for each ride... still limited data but: (1) 30.16mi, 3094ft elevation, 102ft/mi, 10.54ah 544.88wh ~18.06wh/mi 128bpm (2) 7.21mi, 144ft elevation, 19ft/mi, 1.37ah 74.58wh ~10.34wh/mi 127bpm (3) 18.13mi, 864ft...

New motor: Made in Canada, 2022 Mid-drive system

I linked you earlier, Bafang for $108: https://www.greenbikekit.com/bafang-ultra-motor-torque-sensor-m620.html But again this is retail price of a replacement part, markup will be large... I'd guess at least half that. Checking alibaba if you want to buy 200, $43...

New motor: Made in Canada, 2022 Mid-drive system

That 170lb rider constraint is a bit wonky, on level ground weight has effectively nothing to do with speed.

New motor: Made in Canada, 2022 Mid-drive system

Big brands care more about laws. They also would never consider a throttle. ;)

https://www.greenbikekit.com/bafang-ultra-motor-torque-sensor-m620.html Probably half that? Software is pretty much free... I mean VESC already has support.

    250-300Nm of torque?

One would hope no PAS would be a show stopper, oh well.

DIY Charger: LED driver and Adafruit power meter

Oops hit save too quick, huh. I've seen these LED drivers before and initally got these three: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FRBO4ZY -- Got the 54v (~49-58v adjustable) 3.45amp (~1.7-3.45a adjustable) Meanwell. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7KAQIL -- Power cord...

    Hydra Batterie Question

Yeah I saw the DATEx2.. its just so expensive I quickly dismissed it as an option on principle, LOL. I mean I might later regret not just taking simple route.. we'll see. :) Will be 2 weeks or so till ideal diodes from aliexpress show up. Oh and I've updated this comment...

    Hydra Batterie Question

So bike isn't exaclty going to sustain 2000 watts.. but worst case internal pack is on its own and has to put out 50 amps... though I don't think that's actually possible so lets just go with 40 amps max... https://uavmapping.co.uk/product/dual-ideal-diode Uses...

    Hydra Batterie Question

Yeah think just gotta find some ideal diode setup, ideally with heatsinking and potted. Not sure how they're rating this for 100v80a.. oh that's probably mosfet rating.. but probably can't do both at same time very well, for long at least: https://uavmapping.co.uk/product/dual-ideal-diode/...

    Hydra Batterie Question

By headtube on either side are openings for internal cable routing. What if I move all cables to one side and basically have a XT60 (or XT90 I forget how big opening is) on the other side which is in parallel with internal battery. Bike will basically be stock except it'll have a XT60/XT90...

    Hydra Batterie Question

I tried to take some pictures, they suck.. see this thread on emtbforums: https://www.emtbforums.com/community/threads/dengfu-e22-frame-thread.26880/#post-375496 That first post has some good-as-it-get pictures. In downtube on either end of battery are the battery mounts and on other side of...

    Hydra Batterie Question

Haha okay that would be a clean solution.. but bit more than I'm capable of. ;) Yeah I don't know how much unused space exists, in frame, but I think there is enough. I was looking up Dengfu E10 builds and saw someone who was opening battery compartment a bit more becuase there is some unused...
