    Hydra has landed!

@Jayaznpride did the mod in his Hydra thread, I ordered the same sensor and wired it up as he showed. I reused the little breakout board that the original sensor came on just to mount the sensor to, but I unintentionally destroyed the traces on the board so I couldn't reuse the original wiring...

    Hydra has landed!

After fixing my mistake, a Garbaruk derailleur cage test run review: Derailleur needs some slight adjustments to lock into every gear correctly but the big thing is that it STILL SKIPS in the highest gear, although less severely than before. I'm hoping spacing the chain ring to reduce the chain...

    Hydra has landed!

I can't yet, I'm waiting for spacers in the mail. (Or, more accurately, I can't mount the guard in the outboard position without spacers) So a small update, I decided since it stopped raining that I'd run out and test out my new light as well as the modifications I made over the weekend. The...

    Hydra has landed!

Here's an interesting angle I had not thought to check before... The chain is literally touching the chainstay in the highest gear (no weight on the suspension). See that angle there? Edit: I think this is because of the lack of chain tension my derailleur is providing after swapping the cage...

    Hydra has landed!

    Don't think I'll be riding today... 😅 https://komonews.com/news/local/strong-winds-heavy-rain-brings-on-river-urban-flooding-throughout-western-washington

    Hydra has landed!

Thanks, I'll read up on the guide tomorrow (today? It's late)! I was going to swap it without removing the cable, but I had to pull the clutch housing cover and clutch in order to get to the main bolt that holds on the derailleur cage. It was just too finicky to handle without being able to set...

    Hydra has landed!

Mounted up the Garbaruk derailleur cage... not too bad, but since it was the first time I've ever taken apart a derailleur it took quite a while. This derailleur cage is pretty thin and light, I'm a little nervous it'll get bent at some point but I've never had it happen before so... I bought...

    Hydra has landed!

Nope, I've not gotten any of my parts yet... I just ordered them yesterday lol. I'm hoping by the end of next week I'll have the derailleur cage and the spacers. I ordered multiple sets of chainring bolts as well in order to make sure I've got the right size to space out the chainring and keep...

    Hydra has landed!

I actually already did add protection and posted a picture a couple of replies ago. I like your analogy with the Testarossa... I drive BMWs and while they're excellent cars, they're certainly not perfect and I've done plenty of modifications to make them faster, better handling, and more fun to...

    Hydra has landed!

I think it's pressed onto the splines, I took off the center bolt and could not remove the crank by hand. This tool threads into the center of the crank, then you turn the inner bolt and it pulls it off. I was going to try that but realized I won't be able to mount my chainring guard, I just...

    Hydra has landed!

After some more research it looks like the Bafang M620 uses the ISIS drive system, so an ISIS crank puller tool will work. Amazon can get me a Park Tool one for $15 by tomorrow. Here's the model: https://www.parktool.com/product/crank-puller-for-splined-cranks-ccp-44 I'll send Pushkar an email...

    Hydra has landed!

I'm quite frustrated, to be honest. Paid ~$6500 for a bike that was 3 months late, slightly the wrong color, scratched, and eating itself. I'm hoping WW can send me a spare rear triangle (or just the chainstay since it's a two piece assembly) that I can install after I resolve the issue. I'm not...

    Hydra has landed!

Yeah I've got some clear vinyl that I put elsewhere on the bike I'm going to use in a couple of layers in that spot. After I'm finished messing with my throttle I will take a look! I need to see if I can flip the chainring to the outside, I found a cheap spacer kit which should help as well. I...

    Hydra has landed!

Yeah I'm going to be looking for spacers to see if I can eliminate or reduce this issue. I'll probably wrap some vinyl over the chainstay to protect it for now.

    Hydra has landed!

Gotcha, thanks for the tips. I'm not sure how this will be handled but since the bike is under warranty... I don't mind too much spending the money to kit it with the proper things to prevent this from happening again, but to me it looks like a design issue with the Dengfu E10 frame.

    Hydra has landed!

It doesn't always work, but it feels like it's cutting power when I shift unless I'm putting a lot of torque on the pedals (which is bad practice anyways when shifting). Since we had another break in the rain today, I went out for another ~6 mile ride after setting my shock and fork sag...

    Hydra has landed!

Throttle is there and it works great! Lol. Though it is touchy like some others have mentioned. I bought some of the Honeywell hall effect sensors to upgrade the throttle on a rainy day. I don't see a serial number on the bike, I requested some documentation from Pushkar regarding the class 3...

    Hydra has landed!

Yeah I'll definitely provide an update! IIRC these bikes have shift sensors which cut motor power when shifting - it seemed like it was doing that properly when I was riding yesterday.

    Hydra has landed!

I double checked, it's the M8000. I ordered the derailleur cage from the seller on Ebay and it already shipped! Since it's shipping from Seattle to Seattle I'll probably get it in the next couple days. I'll mount it when I get the chance and test when I get a clearing in the weather. Thanks for...

    Hydra has landed!

I have not ridden it enough to tell if it was an issue in low assist levels as well but I noticed it the most with high levels of PAS. Like @TDA78 mentioned only the Garbaruk appears to be in stock. I might pick one up. Someone in Seattle has a couple for sale on Ebay so it would ship locally...
