    DALY BMS - Beware when buying!!! - 13S 48V 40A - See Images

That's the kicker - I bought directly from them, spoke to them about what I needed and they shot me a model number, pricing etc etc. I was pretty convinced they'd be all nice and excellent. If I can figure out what's going on with the damn charging situation then I'd be satisfied with them...

    DALY BMS - Beware when buying!!! - 13S 48V 40A - See Images

I always work grounded with them - not sure if this would tell if they're toasted from static but they do correctly read 20mΩ across the B- and P- cables... just boggles the mind! Should have got separate port or... I don't even know. Hopefully come Monday in China I'll hear back from them but...

    DALY BMS - Beware when buying!!! - 13S 48V 40A - See Images

Considering they wake up as soon as they are plugged in and do not turn off with the button on the USB dongle either I'm considering this is probably a configuration error on their end. But all the issues I've deeply researched regarding them have been fixable by the end-user in the Sinowealth...

Daly BMS: what am I doing wrong?

I should add some screen shots of the Sinowealth V0.2 software... note some of these are out of date but no new settings should be causing the issue described, as I have the same issue on the other 4 BMS's with factor settings. There's no way an XT90S anti-spark connector could be throwing this...

Daly BMS: what am I doing wrong?

I've got a handful of 14s Daly BMS's - model R16J-GF12. I got them set up for the most part and through the range of my electronic load's max power draw I have the discharge current showing up relatively accurately - though calibrating working current doesn't really do anything to the CADC Gain...

    DALY BMS - Beware when buying!!! - 13S 48V 40A - See Images

@tomjasz which Daly BMS's are you using? I cannot for the life of me get my Dalys to show charg current and they throw my bench supply way way off when charging. I got them accurately showing discharge current though my electronic load can only discharge them up to 3A, but when trying to charge...

    Magura front brake shudder

The Magura-branded single-piece pads for MT5/7 calipers are the 9-series; 9.P black or 9.C blue are available (no 9.S green version or 9.R gold) Northwest Bikes carries SwissStop and Kool-stop pads for Magura brakes and I'm sure if you flip through the pages without the search you can find the...

    Hydra as a commuter?

Sucks to hear you're having this issue. It may be something in the controller settings as well that's causing this but a torque-sensor issue isn't out of the realm of possibilities. Not sure how thoroughly WW repacks the motor with grease but IIRC removing the axle is the number 1 procedure...

Max Battery voltage for Ultra motors

I haven't ridden a 48V ebike but will say for packs a higher voltage also means lower current draw from the pack so there's a few ways it's better on the pack (longer cycle life, more energy available from the pack at a lower current draw) - but I would think going from a 4p to a 5p would make a...

    Hydra as a commuter?

Pushkar announced a while back they're doing the repack with SHC-100 when they install the X1 controller for all motors now, not as an add-on. When I got my motor it was definitely packed... a little pink squeezing grease out and the axle was notably harder to turn (without cranks on, with...

Max Battery voltage for Ultra motors

A 72V (20s) pack is 84V at full charge - so I would not go over that 80V cap rating. If the bigger caps have a lower rating, I'd use that to inform my decision. I'm not sure if there'd every be voltage spikes from the pack either - I would assume not because 63V with a 58.8V fully charged pack...

Worth the wait, Hydra is here.

I find it strange that the cranks WW gets from Miranda don't have the self-extracting bolts. I greased up my axles nice and good to avoid this issue. I think you can get the self-extracting bolts to add to the cranks, the little assembly screws into the bolt cover threads and has the...

Max Battery voltage for Ultra motors

Here you can see a 63V marking on the stock M620 controller (blue) and an 80V on the solid state capacitor on the Innotrace controller (green) - I cannot make out the voltage on the electrolytic caps on the Innotrace (the big ones with black wrapper)

Worth the wait, Hydra is here.

I've got the bearing set to swap into my motor but have kind of been hesitant to open it up and swap them... I have a bearing puller for swapping enduro max compliments into the suspension pivot points for my frame. I did have an IGUS print for one of the motor bearings as I couldn't find an...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

Ouch! At that point I'd spend the $140ish to send the 120ml you have to a lab for a viscosity test and to see what common additives are present in there, and then grab the nearest analogue. After the initial oil change you're supposed to get 3-5000km between changes, right? $200 for 25,000km...

    Throttle that works

@Fast n' Furious the throttles receive a 5V signal from the controller and then send that variable voltage (1.1-4.2V in AHick's case) back depending on throttle position. Whether the controller is 36V or 52V or 72V doesn't really matter, as long as it's sending the standard 5V signal to the...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

$5 says Kindernay's velvet gear oil is something like Motorex or Maxima fork oil - the pink color & the fact that it's light enough to make you think the Magura juice would work in it leads me to believe that. I can't say for certain if Maxima is pink but Motorex certainly is. Not sure what...

    Watt Wagon direct competitors?

Charge time on that page doesn't specify what 'fast charge' means or to what percentage. Wording on some of the descriptors is kind of gimmicky, the touch control function on the display seems stupidly annoying (I'm looking at new cars and am annoyed at how many use touch controls in lieu of...

Watt Wagons Critical Product Availability Status

I last spoke with them in mid-June regarding the programming harnesses and they said they expected them late-July to August. I'm probably going to reach out to them to see what's up later this evening or tomorrow morning. Just found out I have 27 miles of bike path connecting my neighborhood to...

Source of 48t steel chain ring

How to size a chain for a bike If the difference is only a couple of links you may be able to get away with not changing the length. Since you'll be sizing up you won't run the risk of too much slack in the higher gears - as long as you can shift into the lowest gears without issue you should...
